Urban Decay recently released a brand a new mascara called ‘Lash Freak’ now when it comes to mascaras I like to test them for a few weeks before writing a review so I can really let you know what I think. Let’s chat about the details, this mascara cost £21 (though I found a discount code on honey and paid £17.90) and is advertised as an “intensely volumising mascara with an asymmetrical brush that lengthens, lifts, and curls lashes for a dramatic, wide-eyed effect”. This mascara is meant to give you 23.6 times more volume than their other mascaras and is a longwear formula lasting up to 20 hours.
Now when it comes to a mascara with this many claims especially when it states it’s a long wear formula I really like to test it out. When I first opened the mascara I was slightly confused because the brush wasn’t something I’ve ever seen before so it took me a go or two to work out how to properly apply the mascara. But once I applied the first coat of mascara on my eye you could see the difference straight away!! My lashes looked dramatically longer and since I only did one eye at this point you could see such a dramatic difference. When I applied the mascara to the second eye it went on even smoother then the first time and again my eyes look so different it was like I was wearing false lashes genuinely.
Over the last few weeks I’ve been wearing this mascara on my 10hr shifts to see how good the mascara would look after a long day at work. Normally when I wear mascaras during the day usually regardless of the brand it will transfer on my lower lashes throughout the day. This is something I get worried about but with the Lash Freak mascara once it dries after application it didn’t move at all, not a single budge which is so impressive!!! After I had this experience a weeks straight I knew this mascara was something that definitely deserved its hype. Since I was feeling a little extra after work one night I decided to wash my hair and not take off my mascara before to see how it would long wear it really was. Now I figured yep you literally last on my eyes until I physically remove you but can you last through water and let me tell you the answer is .... YES!! That sucker didn’t move once which was so impressive!!
So moral of the story if you’re looking for a mascara that can last all day at work, actually water resistant, and has crazy voumising abilities here’s the best recommendation I can give you!!!
