I'm not dead but I am in a Kingmaker campaign. It's going swimmingly! I think!
If I'd known this AP was going to be so full of beautiful terrifying women I would have thought twice before making my little lesbian swashbuckler so vulnerable......ahh who am I kidding. That's half the fun >:)
Redraw of that one Veronica and Archie meme you know the one
A series of loose scribbly comics all titled "Who Are You?" throughout the campaign so far, because this is how I process things apparently. Metaphors! Starting with an observation that we'd all made characters who weren't quite...all there, either partial people or reflections of things or things bound to greater things? Hm
Things that make no sense if you're not part of this group.
And again, musing over identity and if you are really a person or just the sum of everything that's happened to you?
I bet none of this will be relevant to the actual AP's plot later on :))))) certainly not!
.......w-wait, uh, oh no, uh, uh oh oh no-
Can't wait to see what the next one of these winds up looking like GRIMACING EMOJI (we've been deliberately avoiding kingmaker spoilers lmao)
My Pathfinder 2e character for our Kingmaker campaign- Lass Aldori nee Grenpast! Human (Changeling) Swashbuckler
It's fun to make characters who have a lot of assorted things going on. This series is called "Girl With The Crown", a name she's picked up locally. IDK it's fun to do a bunch of art with the same base.
Bonus: Her father, Lars, who she greatly resembles
Listen this character meme rules and it was one of the first things I did a couple sessions into this campaign. Every day she careens wildly closer towards her idealized self. Still kind of a dog, though. Also still a dorky bumpkin.
100% ROSTLAND BEEF
Lass has enchanted suspenders that change color and pattern with her mood, and as an emotionally volatile young adult those things are working overtime. She gave a big speech to the town to celebrate a slightly tepid founder's day (swarms of aberrations came out of the woods the day before and had to be fought off, which really killed the feasting vibes) and over the course of it the hamfisted metaphor suspenders went from green sprouts to white and gold flowers. It's a basic metaphor, sir, but it checks out.
What could you possibly offer someone who already got what they wanted?
We recently butted up against a damn near cosmic force that made some compelling offers. And unfortunately, now Lass is having to reckon with the fact that she didn't expect to make it to twenty (her current age) much less has ever planned for the future. Figured she'd either be dead in a ditch bleeding out from a gut wound, or turn into a monster. Easy enough to accept.
But a future?
Oh.....what a terrifying possibility that is.
I haven't been posting jack-all shit lately BUT I've been drawing a lot of my new Pathfinder character for our Kingmaker campaign! This is Lass. She's a sweet shepherdess changeling who's extremely good at murdering people whose goal is to join the Aldori dueling school and become one of the sword lords. And also, like, be a respected community leader. She's REAL big into community service.
(guest starring her horse: a flunked out draft mule named Butter)
Don't worry, as a result of being a TTRPG character her backstory *is* fucked but we'll get to that later! Don't worry about it!
I'm trying to get better about drawing characters with consistent features. It's hard. But yanno...it's the effort.
