What have I been doing?!
And here we are again...2 months have gone by and I have not written anything, I SWEAR, even when I say I am going to write on this blog on a regular basis, life gets in the way.
Life here in Georgia just got a little hectic so here is some highlights of what has happened over the last 2 months.
1) COS CONFERENCE!!
Yes, you heard me right...In mid-March, I attended my COS (Close of Service) Conference in Tbilisi. It was a 3 day conference where I learned everything I would need to know to close my service here in Georgia and also I got some ideas and knowledge on how to deal with what comes after my service. We learned everything such as the COS procedures to tips of job searching to reflecting on your Peace Corps service. In my opinion, it was my favorite conference yet! It was a well-rounded conference that covered everything. I had to decompress from it afterwards because there was so much information haha It was also nice seeing all of my fellow G14 volunteers together again, for the last time :(!!
I ALSO GOT INTERMEDIATE MID ON MY GEORGIAN LANGUAGE TEST!! YAY!!
My Program Manager and her volunteers :)
Awww, the Tezeri Cluster together again!
2) NESC Competition
The next cool thing that I did was be a chaperone at the NESC National Competition in Tbilisi. NESC stands for National English Spelling Competition. This meant that I got to spend the entire weekend with some really AMAZING kids. I am not kidding, these students can SPELL! Some of the words that were given to them, I don’t know if I could spell at their age and I am a good speller, When the kids were not competing, we took them around Tbilisi and did different activities such as seeing a museum and seeing a movie. This was great because for some of these kids, it was the first time for them, being in Tbilisi. It was a very neat experience :) The NESC committee did an AMAZING job and I know the kids had a lot of fun...GO PEACE CORPS!!
3) My Grant
Through the months of February and March, my one job was to finish and close my grant...WHICH I DID!! WHOOOHOOO!! I AM DONE!! I can’t believe I can finally say that. In February, I had to finish up the trainings and get the certificates handed out which went very well. Everyone loved the certificates. In March, I had to organize everything and write up the closing report which was a hassle! I GOT IT DONE THOUGH! I can now say that I have successfully executed a grant and I am very proud of that. O, the things you learn in Peace Corps.
WELL THATS ABOUT IT! Of course, I am still teaching and hanging with my kids in Khashuri School #1 as well :)
GET THIS! The new volunteer group arrives in Georgia in 8 DAYS!! CRAZY RIGHT!?

people petrify
me. events of the last few months culminating up until midnight last night make me want to live on venus and melt on the surface. you cant speak. you cant move. shhhhhh. everyones the problem. but no one thinks theyre the problem. its a circle. this isnt having any coherance. if i wrote it out it would be 10+ pages. no point. frustration is a bad feeling. if you dont fit the narrative you are discarded and written off. your words end where my feelings begin. every raindrop says “hey iiiiiiiiii didnt cause the flood” now this is really losing all semblance of anything. i should really not talk or type ever unless of course its exactly and precisely what people want to hear but thats wrong isnt it? nope, do it.
Hello March! Two exams, two coursework to go! #resolution #last2months #graduating (at Andersonian Library)
