Roadtrip Tue. 02/07/2019

Today we had an entire day on our own in Las Vegas. I went out with 3 girls from my van to explore the biggest casinos in “sin city”. 

We went into the New York New York casino and had a ride on the rollercoaster.

Had a French crêpe in the Paris Casino.

We were overwhelmed by how big the Ceasar Palace was.

Almost got on a gondola at the Venice Casino.

Enjoyed the view and went on the world’s highest thrill ride “Insanity” in the Stratosphere Tower.  (Wikipedia: This tower is the tallest observation tower in the United States.  Insanity, opened in 2005, at 900 ft (270 m) is the third highest thrill ride in the world; it dangles riders over the edge of the tower and then spins in a circular pattern at approximately forty miles per hour (+-65km/h).)

By then it was late afternoon. We went to see the famous Las Vegas sign again and drove back to our hotel.

In the evening, I had dinner with the 3 Italian girls from my van, at Excalibur Casino.

And ended my night at a weed store, which made me think of an Apple store... It was my first time going to a weed store and I found it very interesting.

Roadtrip Mon. 01/07/2019

We spent most of the day in the van.

We drove through Death Valley and made multiple stops. It was insanely hot but every stop was different and amazing.

First stop had some bushes and 1 tree in the middle of nowhere.

Then the rocks were black with hardly any plants.

To absolute hard, dry ground.

And then a desert where I should have worn closed shoes instead of sandals.

Late afternoon, we arrived in Las Vegas. We got some time to ourselves before meeting up at 8pm. A party bus took us to the most important touristic sights.

A wedding chapel.

Fremont Street.

Ending our tour at the Fountains of Bellagio, where we could enjoy a musical fountain show.

After that we were “free”. Some girls went back to the hotel, others went to explore Las Vegas by night some more. I joined some girls who wanted to go clubbing.

We found a “sponsor” who got us into Marquee for free and with a free drink. Ah the wonderful perks of being women. The club was big and completely packed. The music was good, the company even better. We had a great time!

Around 2am I ended up at the French Casino across the street. Being a little bit tipsy, the interior messed with my head. Outside it was dark but in here the sky was blue with clouds and it looked like some things were standing upside down. A funny experience for sure!
