Only one thing is keeping Eli “Paperboy” Reed from being mentioned in the same breath as the great, 1960s soul singers.
Namely: Reed was born in 1983.
But one would never know it hearing his self-described “grits-and-grease” cover of Latimore “Let’s Straighten it Out,” as Reed screams and cries:
