Occupation: Replacement Current Editor for Umetarou Nozaki
Due to a series of unfortunate events -- mostly involving the stress that comes with working under the same roof as Maeno -- Ken Miyamae resigns himself from the editing world in order to pursue other interests. Devastated by the fact that his editor told him that no further contact would be needed as he was moving to the depths of Antarctica, Nozaki does his best to win Ken back and inspire him to continue being his editor.
Ultimately, his attempts end up fruitless and he is assigned to the cool, calm and not always collected Keiichiro Sekine, an up-and-coming editor who has taken the manga world by storm over the past three years.
His aloof personality reminds Nozaki of his younger brother at times, but he appreciates the quick responses he also receives from the older male. Though he would really much rather have Ken back as they had such a strong connection.
Relationship to Chiyo: She’s met him once or twice when he’s come by to review the new panels for the latest chapters, but he says very little and does not stay longer then necessary unless Nozaki invites him too. Which happens once in a great while when he has several questions about a new storyboard. She does recall seeing that Nozaki had received a neatly knitted scarf from him as a present for Christmas though.. so she’s convinced he can’t be bad at all.
