The Morning is Simple

“I guess you’re right...” The effort it will take for her to get out of the tub after laying down might be the worst of all. A sore feeling still rests between her legs, reminding her of their night. She steps out of the bathroom. “Take a shower. Let me know once you’re done.” A pregnancy test is two weeks away. For now, she can attempt to keep her mind off of it. Since they have done the deed already, was it appropriate to continue if they still weren’t married?

The Morning is Soft

She tries to cover what she can of her body with the dress he has brought her and she can’t help but notice he has chosen underwear that isn’t meant to cover much. Yet, here he is, having a moment of his own as he recalls the last evening. He’s really embarrassing himself, she thinks, but of course, she should be nervous here. “Now you want to be shy?” She chuckles, but remembers she’s sore because of all that movement. “I’ll leave you to shower alone then... but I need to as well. Should I take a bath while you’re in the shower? That might speed up things...”

The Morning is Showering

“Now just isn’t the time to be pregnant. I haven’t even graduated yet.” Though being a year ahead through home-schooling has put her ahead, she can’t even imagine that a pregnancy would delay this graduation (which she expects to be this winter). 

In preparing to receive her clothes, she’s removed herself from the toilet and shifted towards the door, but abruptly he arrives, arm extended with her clothes. Quickly, she takes the few pieces and covers herself with it. The color in her cheeks rises quickly, and an arm secures her chest. The only thing that surprises her more is what he may be asking. “Are you asking me to shower with you?

The Morning is Snug

She sits neatly on the toilet, examining the box. Being nude so openly isn’t something she can get used to. Even know, she isn’t sure if this is ideal or how sex will go if she’s sober. And yet, even when she’s in here, he’s still talking to her. “I’m not sure why she likes me already...” It isn’t like she has much to say regarding how her family feels of him. They are skeptical, and also have spent much less time with him than she has. But, he does make a point. Telling them might make it worse, how her family views him. “We’ll keep it to ourselves... Just promise me you won’t tell anyone else either. I’ll never do it again with you if you do!” And then she skims across the most important part. “It says it’s not effective if I use it now! We have to wait weeks... but I don’t feel pregnant.”
