My boat shoes and your flannel. Steaming teacups and fuzzy socks. It was a night like any other. But I remember it because we laughed like we were young.

Jittering bones in the frozen morning air. Windshield wipers on frost and desperately blasting heat. But in the snowy traffic jam I think of that night when we drank tea and you wore blue flannel. I know it was just a night like any other but remembering it still makes me smile. We laughed that night like we were young.

My brown belt, your blue hair, and the pink roses on our teacups. I don't quite remember what we talked about. It was a night like any other. But in a world with so little levity we managed to laugh as if we were still just kids.
