Mini-review:

Look, I know this movie is a classic and it has had a huge impact on pop culture, but for some reason, I never got around to watching it. Until last night. And now I regret not watching it sooner. Who Framed Roger Rabbit is funny, thrilling and surprising. It was released almost 40 years ago, and yet, it still feels astoundingly groundbreaking. In a way, it made me realize that production values have gotten seriously worse in recent movies. Here, all the sets and costumes look gorgeous and completely real. You can tell they barely used green screens (except for the Toontown scenes, obviously). Sure, some of the interactions between the live-action actors and the animated characters look a bit iffy, but all things considered, they managed to pull off a pretty crazy concept that shouldn't work as well as it does here. My only complain is that sometimes I couldn't understand what the animated characters were saying, but it might have been because of my TV or the D+ platform, I don't know. So, I loved this and I'm glad I finally watched it.

The toons hitting Joey Drew

Okay, I’m feeling a bit better to post this now, here’s the updated schedule for Disney XD in the USA for this week January 8-14. The 7:45 PM Mickey Mouse shorts have been removed, today on January 12 has Gravity Falls Weirdmageddon, Phineas and Ferb Star Wars, Billy Dilley still airs on that day, and a Star vs. the Forces of Evil marathon with Monsters, Inc. and Monsters University.

Mickey Mousecapade - Capcom on Console

Kenzo Tsujimoto founded I.R.M. Corporation on 30 May 1979 while still serving as president of Irem, running both roles until 1983. I.R.M. and its subsidiary Japan Capsule Computers Co., Ltd.—both focused on making and distributing electronic game machines—were renamed Sanbi Co., Ltd. in September 1981. On 11 June 1983 Tsujimoto established Capcom Co., Ltd. The name Capcom is taken from the first three letters of Capsule Computers".

Capcom would have releases for Arcade's in 1983 and 1984 with Little League in 1983, Fever Chance in the same year and Vulgus and 1942 in 1984. The release of 1942 would also be one of Capcom's first foray into the console market with 1942 releasing for the NES in 1985.

Mickey Mousecapade (NES, March 6 1987) is a licensed Hudson/Capcom side‑scrolling action platformer where you control Mickey while Minnie follows; you navigate themed screens (fun house, seaside, pirate ship, castle), solve small puzzles (keys, locked doors), protect Minnie from hazards, and face boss encounters. The NES version features regional differences in enemies and bosses between US and Japan and emphasizes timing, platforming, and escort mechanics in a single‑player Disney adventure.
