Hey Kevin Laura A here.. just wanted to let you know that things between me & my guy friend arent so awkward anymore , but i've realized hes never gonna like me as more than a friend and that it wont be easy to see him as just my friend , but im getting there.
Hey there, Laura A!
I’m glad you've been able to reach a resolution with this. Unrequited feelings suck, but they are bearable. In time your feelings will grow weaker and you’ll be able to enjoy your friendship to its full extent, I’m sure of it.
I’m proud of you for being so intelligent and for being such a good friend to him.
Yours, Kevin
Hey Kevin its laura a , so its 4 am & I can't stop crying I think there's something wrong me . I let out everything I feel about that boy onto paper & I'm so mad at myself , I regret ever liking him , hell I regret ever meeting him . I just want to tell him that I don't wanna be friends anymore but every time I try , It seems like its impossible.
Hey, Laura A. Sorry I didn’t reply to this sooner.
Nothing’s wrong with you. We all make mistakes and like people who turn out to be massive jerks. And even when we do see it, it’s hard to let go, because part of us clings to the memory of the person they used to be, or that we thought they were.
Listen. You told me this boy was your best friend. Do you think that maybe, maybe it’s better if he just stayed that, if it’s not too late? All this seems to be a huge complication. I know it hurts to think like that, but, sometimes, we have to take what we can get, you know? And it would be a shame to lose a good friend…
I think you need to talk with him. Openly and honestly. You need to organise your thoughts and tell him what you feel so that maybe, maybe he can help you. But don’t cling to the hope of maybe getting something special. If he doesn’t like you in that way, then you have to accept it and move on, Laura.
It sucks, I know it does. But it’s not forever. You’ll be alright, I promise. Just try to let go, okay?
I’m here if you need me. Good luck, kid.
Your friend, Kevin.
Sorry I don't really remember what I wrote for part 1 but it was just saying that I think I'm starting to forget about said boy , & that he's happy with someone else & I'm happy for him , but that I'm also tired of being alone & single & that it sounds stupid but that's just how I feel -Laura A
need a boy to make me feel better about myself , but it’s the same thing everyday . I wake up , eat breakfast , use my computer for half the day , eat lunch , then go back to using the computer , and its the same thing every single day & its annoying me . Ok but back to the boy thing , i honestly think i’m gonna be okay without him , or atleast thats what im telling myself , but in the back of my head all i hear is “you do need him , you cant forget about him .” part 2
Hey Laura A!
Trust me; it doesn't sound silly. We all get lonely, and it's perfectly okay to want a boyfriend. It's already a good thing that you're slowly getting away from this other boy; trust me, you'll get there.
Here's one thing you need to carve into your brain: You can be okay without anybody. You do not need anyone to be okay. You're wonderful.
It's FINE to want someone to be with because hey, love and cuddles and all that schmoop. That's normal. But your worth is not determined by your relationship status, okay? You're awesome. Always. Remember that.
Now, about changing your routine. Get the hell out there. Call friends, go to the movies, go for walks. See the world, Laura! Staying inside is cool, but man! Talk to people, meet people, be it online or outside. There's so much awesome to see.
He's out there, I promise. You'll find him. You just have to be patient.
I'm here if you need me, okay?
Your friend, Kevin.
