May i present to you Laura Bowen 😊 She is First Team Sport Scientis for Southampton FC. She conduded a 3 year study of whether you can predict player's injury by using GPS during their tranings and matches. And guess what? She did it! By following players' GPS they can now predict the non contact injury risk with 98% accuracy!

23 August 2025 ~ Black New Moon

This black new moon arises out of a time of satisfying observations. My journey of identifying the flora and fauna in my urban-forest environment, and familiarising myself with their varying seasonal behaviours has been extremely satisfying so far.

Every discovery has been wondrous. The Sourgrass and Goose Daisy nostalgically flowers around me. The Cape Rain Daisy was a surprise. We've found Snakevine, Tree Aeonium, Orchid Tree, Orange Trumpetvine, and Orange Bracket Fungus (Dtaal-yil mirda-yoornt). And my forever back-and-forth of trying to differentiate Hawksbeard from Sowthistle continues.

The Australan Ringneck (Darlmoorluk) and Rainbow Lorikeet flocks still visit the Lacebark Elm and Popcorn Tree families on our complex. And the energetic New Holland Honeyeater (Bandiny) has welcomed us home in the Black Poplar and Blue Jacaranda several times.

The more we notice, the more we see.

Laura Bowen was the first female General Manager of Peter Jones in London, back at the beginning of the 20th Century, I know that from the Shopgirls TV program, but I can't find any other information about her.
