I saw you mention the name once, but no one followed up with the question, so, what can you tell us about Moon Maiden?(I don't think I already sent this ask, please just delete it if it's a double)
I'm sure Krins will be ok with me eventually finding another angle to tackle the question from when I get around to his version of it. He has LONG since accepted that the sheer volume of questions he has bombarded me with requires patience in order to be fulfilled to the standards I hold for myself (and the method I use to make sure everyone gets a turn some side of this century).
That being said, I can 100% tell you about the woman who calls herself the Moon Maiden!

Like Superman, Moon Maiden's furthest origins are understood with a gap in the middle to cover the identities of those who have shaped her into who she is. To wit, the woman who also goes by the names Laurel, Praemonstra Supra, or "She Who Will Point The Way" was born...on the moon...to a bunch of Romans.
An alchemical collective known as "The Hundred" using ancient arcane secrets not only to flee TO the moon during the time of the Roman Emperors in protest of violent imperial expansion, but also to construct a citadel there they called the Lunar Villa. For centuries their studies went by uninterrupted and eventually long after the fall of Rome in both East and West they set about their ultimate project. The creation of an artificial being that might bring their philosophies of stoic peace and alchemical harmony to the people of the world. Their original attempt at this created a being rich in power but unbalanced in mind, seeking to rule rather than uplift. This being was called Centurion and was locked away in a prison whose failure was inevitable. The second attempt, a baby girl, was somehow sent down to Earth to be raised by human parents who could teach her to care for the people around her. The sterile and stoic teachings of The Hundred themselves being blamed for Centurion's fall to the dark. And so the woman known as Moon Maiden was raised by normal human parents and eventually discovered her gift for controlling gravity, becoming a superheroine native mostly to the eastern coast of Florida. She became a friend and member of the Justice League and a trusted member of the superhero community, until the day in which the Centurion was unleashed along with a device he had concocted in his captivity: The Erasure Weapon. Using it to erase heroes not only from the world but also from the memories of mankind he was stopped when the Moon Maiden herself lifted them both high in the air and overloaded the weapon. Saving the world as we know it, recovering her comrades from limbo while in turn erasing herself and the Centurion from the mind of all but those who had known her before the Moon Maiden was ever seen. It was only years later that the Centurion was again able to free himself from the unremembered limbo, Moon Maiden again returning to battle against him alongside her heroic teammates who had forgotten all about her. Only this time they succeeded in ending the Centurion's schemes for good, without being able to return the memories of the Moon Maiden to the world at large (the story I've been telling to you is the course of events as SHE tells it, which I believe because its backed up by her teammates in the Justice League). Ever since then she has endeavored to start anew, taking up her old stomping grounds mostly in Jacksonville and the other large cities of the Sunshine State which seems only too happy to accept this woman as their favorite daughter, even if they don't remember how they adored her the first time around.
