I'm Ready

Thank God for 2012, but 2013, I'm ready for you.  Last year was amazing beyond belief.  I'm thankful for every moment I experienced and the overall growth I went through as an individual.  New opportunities came my way left and right that I never dreamed we would possible.  My official website, lauramitchell.co, was launched, I filmed several episodes of Chicagolicious for the Style Network with my friend A.J. Johnson, and I booked an ad with Fashion Fair Cosmetics.  I really couldn't ask for more, but 2013 looks like it's going to be even better. Check out some pics below of NYE 2013.....great times last year, and fun times ahead. :)

Don't be Afraid of the Big Bad Vamp

Mastering the world of makeup is a bit similar to educational studies.  As women, we are introduced to various beauty concepts.  We study them, practice the material, and eventually, we all hope to master the subject matter.  Statement lips are for the advanced students only.  The color red was a huge step for me in the world of makeup.  First, I had to get past all of the negative stereotypes that are tied to the color...."Red is for whores" etc,....then I had to get my confidence to a point where I could feel comfortable wearing a statement lip.  I can proudly say that I, Laura Mitchell, have mastered red.  Now, it's time to move on.  I embraced deep wines awhile back, but I have never fully submerged my focus into the world of vamps.  Recently, at the MAC Cosmetics store, I was introduced to Cyber (I'm wearing it in the photo below. Wow.  I've completed my courses.  This color is amazing.  It's exactly the statement lip I wanted.  A look that will make mouths drop.  Cyber has depth....a deep purple color with a strong hint of black....perfect to wear in the winter.  If you're ready to graduate ladies, step up to the stage and try Cyber.
