Oh BOY
Slipping into bed at 11:15, alarm set for 6 am for my three-mile run! Why must I love a tv show that is on at 10 pm? (/cranky)

Who's sleeping in the basement?
This girl! That's right, folks, I am down here with Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as well as The Memory of Running by Ron McLarty. I also have my sleeping bag, a banana, and my running clothes. Set for 3 miles tomorrow.
In the basement because it is HOT AS HELL upstairs (like, I spent a good long time in a bathtub of cold water reading -- what my family fondly refers to as Tub Hampton [anyone get the reference?]) and our air conditioning is totally busted, so. Basement it is.
Ran! Woowoo!
It was tough (v. warm, and my tummy has been feeling a bit off) but I am glad I did it. Managed to get lost in thoughts for a bit, went even further in the woods (2.6 miles or so?), and on the way back, I got my first runner's high in months! It felt fantastic and I am still coming off of it while happily enjoying my post-run snack: chocolate milk, peanut butter on a rice cake, and apple chips. In this moment, at this second in time, My Life Is Awesome. :)
