Me: I feel like if I eat an Oreo, it's going to be too good. Like, the image I have is that I'll turn into gold and then be immobilized and die.
David: Eat an Oreo.
Me: That didn't respond to my concerns.
David: Well...if that happens...I love you.

OMG
Salad (lettuce and bell pepper with homemade garlicy dressing) + sausage-egg noodle-garlic-butter-parmesan dish + toasted and buttered French bread + lots of cold refreshing water = OMG SO TASTY
how did I deny myself large quantities of bread with real butter for so long
how
omg so good
AUGH
"being nice to myself" as defined by me this afternoon: eating a yummy lunch (cheese pizza with "caesar salad" [lettuce w/caesar dressing...]) with my Minnie Mouse fork, my stuffed animal moose, and Doctor Who (/my boyfriend via Skype, eventually)
Foods to remember cooking/make again/try (and get groceries for), because I feel like I forgot how to food:
this sausage/egg noodles/garlic/parmesan/butter meal is a good one (get more egg noodles) the best-ever tomato soup w/ a grilled cheese (get tomato soup recipe -- from email?) croissants w/ nutella avocados caesar salad (get dressing, maybe grill some chicken to go with it) spaghetti and meatballs (look up meatball recipes, maybe try turkey ones?) salad with: soft cheese of some kind (???), lettuce, tomato, and corn (do we have canned corn?) buy some OREO ICE CREAM for that extra calorie boost in evenings when you've had a low day, and some strawberry sorbet because it is...delicious frozen meals @ Trader Joe's are the best-tasting kind and are also relatively "healthy" apples and caramel dip cook up those red potatoes: they can be used in salad or as a side with chicken etc. hot dogs and hot dog buns chicken enchiladas POTATO PANCAKES WITH SOUR CREAM AND APPLESAUCE find out how to make schnitzel; eat with lemon slice and some form of potatoes (Rösti??) sandwich w/ chips (need: good sandwich bread, and chips) GET INGREDIENTS FOR APFELSCHORLE! aka...apple juice, because we have a seltzer-maker make smoothies make strawberry lemonade mini chocolate puddings BAKED POTATOOOO potato SOOOUP pepper crackers with goat cheese (to buy: pepper crackers) meatloaf with mashed potatoes :D
p.s. self there is nothing wrong with buying those salad-in-a-bag things if a premixed salad makes it more likely that you will eat at all. nothing. wrong.
Experimenting in the kitchen!! If I fry a sausage and serve it cut up with sauteed garlic, egg noodles, and a bit of butter and parmesan...will it be tasty?? I'll let you know! p.s. also salad. also iced tea. also some carrot sticks. also maybe bread if I am still hungry.
