I wanted to clean this up and add an actual background, but I never really got around to it. So, instead of letting this wip rot in my files I figured I'd share this lazy drawing of my favorite pairing.

There's no context here; I just thought the idea was funny and I didn't want to draw legs.

Diaries but when Laurance meets Garroth he immediately switches between flirting with both Garroth and Aphmau.

Garroth Ro’meave constantly being both furious due to Laurance flirting with his Lord (whom he has feelings for), and because this insufferable ginger guard keeps flirting with him. (And he kind of likes it, but he won’t tell you that)

Aphmau doesn’t know whether to be annoyed or amused (she hasn’t fallen for either of them at this point).

Laurance is Bi-panic fight or flirting through his grieving process for both his Lord/Father and his best friend. Is it a healthy way of coping? No. Are both the lord of pheonix drop and her head guard hot? Yes.

Laurance should’ve stayed blind, or at least mostly blind.

My favorite headcannon is that laurance has always had a small amount of magic, but it just wasn’t noticeable until he became blind. It allows him to sort of “sense” where people are, it’s not super detailed how he “feels” them, but everyone “feels” different. This way he is somewhat aware of who is around him and where.

The funny part-

He can’t sense landscapes

He shall fall into holes still

Also Laurance gets Garroth to help him add textured labels to all his spice bottles so he can cook easier. (Dragging Garroth along also certainly aids in shopping for supplies.)

Okay so the Laurroth anon here. It's less sub/bottom Laurance that's the problem for me and ABSOLUTELY top/dominant Garroth.

I personally see Garroth as a switch but just,

Seeing Garroth top reminds me of that era

And I hate it so much

Especially if mixed with ultra masc Garroth and ultra fem Laurance. The only context in which I can deal with that is if Laurance is more dominant.

I can accept soft top Garroth but just, he is canonically akward whenever he's in love, and he doesn’t like leading.

The idea of Garroth forcing himself onto someone even slightly makes me so uncomfortable that it makes me hurl. I know he does to Aphmau, but, yeah...

I never shipped Garrance during that era, and slowly started being okay to kinda liking it when that took off.

Even if it isn't sexualised it'll remind me of the horrors younger me had to see.
