Since it came in second place on that pole, I revisited that Corpse Bride AU next... which I haven’t touched since 2017/2018. This time I tried going for a more accurate version of the story, and actually have CU and Krupp be separate people instead of being the same person due to some weird story plot. (And hey, unlike with Burton, this one features actual Jewish characters like in the original tale!)

I also benefit from coming back later and having more characters to use, as now nearly all the actual good adults are in the land of the dead.

Ideas/Headcanons about the JHE Staff

Ms. Ribble is single with no kids and lives alone with her cats.

Ms. Anthrope and Mr. Fyde secretly have feelings for each other.

Every once in a while, when they need a break from their jobs, Mr. Meaner and his sister will switch places with each other and do each other’s jobs. So far, no one has noticed.

After “unburning the bridge” in season 3, Mr. Ree and his brother sometimes do toilet experiments just for fun.

Seeing Lavatore makes me wonder something: How protective would Toilette get if GP!Krupp tried to do something to him? Not that Lavatore can’t protect himself since he’s a gigachad but still

Toilette isn't that overprotective but if Lavatore was uncomfortable or hurt, he would beat the shit out of Gp!Krupp if he was VERY close to Lavatore. Right now Gp may not know him but he will be willing to harm him too if it's necessary. Ree tries hard to keep Lavatore stable and tells him to stop getting involved but Lavatore wanter to get involved and wanna know what happened to his "regular job" that he used to have in the school

Uhhh big mistake ever made uh. I also found out about Krupp's birthday so if he was born in 1975 it means the beginning of the AU took place in Piqua during August or September of the 90s uh

Maybe 90-2000s because if we add THIS YEAR (2024) and add 49 years, kinda means Gp is 50 according to my calculations
