JUST  BECAUSE  he  was  ,  for  all  official  purposes  ,  no  longer  a  templar  —  DIDN’T  mean  he  was  no  longer  in  charge  of  OFFICIATING  his  family’s  impossibly  large  transaction  of  finances  .

the road back from halamshiral is long.  longer than he would care to admit.  he’s never really been over-fond of riding on horseback, but his charger is a loyal one and his pace is steady and true, even when the commander’s back begins to ache.  he wants nothing more than to be well-away from orlais and its GAME, from the nobles swarming and pecking at him like a mess of chickens.  it reminded him all too much of...it doesn’t matter.  it’s over, and they are on their way home, at least.  their ragtag caravan maintains their steady pace, and he muses to himself that -- even if he had to endure the torment inflicted upon him by the courtiers at halamshiral, at least the road home is relatively uneventful.  and free of orlesians.  he’s riding at the front of the column beside her and he turns to offer her a small, tired smile.

‘only a few days’ worth of travel and we shall be back to skyhold.  i admit -- things could not have gone better, inquisitor.  how are you feeling?’

Solas jumped, startled from the touch. But even as he did, the hand which delicately held a paintbrush to the wall stayed as steady as ever. He whipped around in a quick reaction with a look that would have become vexation had the culprit been any other than she. 

Immediately the surprise turned to a flirtatious grin, and before the Inquisitor could make her escape, he quickly reached out with his free hand and spun her, as if in a dance, back toward him. He smoothly transitioned to a kiss, and while he had her distracted, returned the favor by moving his hand down to firmly grab her ass.
