I genuinely think it would be hilarious if I got into an argument with someone over ships and they accuse me of not liking straight ships...

Cause that'll mean I'll have to explain my two favorite straight ships which are both similar but the only differences are:

One ship is extremely angsty with beautiful art from the fandom that can be both emotional and sweet....

And then the other one is a crack crossover ship that got so popular it broke google and there's usually almost no angst art and it's usually just fluff and crack.

No joke, To this day if you google lavenderade and look at images, it will be flooded with Lila x Monster and almost no images of actual lavender lemonade on the first page...

Prettt sure that Lavenderade shaped me into the person I am today... that or it caused irreversible damage to my brain.

I didn't put this in the tags of my reblog but I. Want to ramble a bit

Honestly SM shipping is so interesting to me. Maybe it's because the only "big" fandom I was in before was SU (and then I dipped after a few years lmao), so just seeing the entire variety of ships, along with what ships people have latched onto, is really cool -- like I didn't expect anyone to ship Captain with anyone else but Shotty, but then here's Comediclaw!

And even that is super interesting to me given John and Jack are almost exclusively shipped with each other, it's a neat contrast

And then you have the Early Days of the fandom where Lavenderade reigned supreme simply because the "Dad Monster" headcanon was very popular at the time and Lila didn't have many shipping options back then -- it's honestly wild how it's become sort of a rare pair these days when it was so engraved into both fandoms that mods like FNF Minus or Monday Dusk Monolith would casually include it
