yanno what, you’re totally right. I was being lazy with my linking and grumpy with my reblogging. I appreciate your interesting and informative commentary. 

I do still believe there are some interesting lines to be drawn between old regional winter celebrations and how Christmas is celebrated and expressed in today’s culture, which I will be putting together for a better post later, but I won’t be using lazily-googled links to try and make that point.

I suppose I wouldn’t be able to say both, right? I’m better-suited to cats because we tend to have a lot more in common (can almost take care of themselves, hates most people, screams when agitated).

That depends on what we mean by “different environment”. I believe that we are all born as a blank slate that the people around us take turns etching and carving and sometimes we break and chip, and sometimes someone carves an ornate flower in the corner and add paint and glitter. The people around us shape us too much for a “different environment” to lead to the exact same result. But who knows, really?

You got it! Honestly I love that one so much, even if I don’t worship her I might do an actual decent scan of it whenever I have scanner access again and reupload it.

Worse, that Violet person, tries to turn it into people attacking her personal opinions and by correcting her posts you're disagreeing with her personal opinion and you're not allowed to do that. She posts these resources and then expects no one will ever have an issue with them, like if what you say is fucking wrong, and someone corrects you MAYBE YOU SHOULD RETHINK YOUR "OPINION." It's really sad how popular those posts are considering how wrong they are, and she just blocks witches who say no

Thing is...opinions can be wrong.

I can say it’s my opinion that the sky is orange and chocolate is a root vegetable and books need to be read upside down, but that doesn’t make it true.

She did mention in a reply that apparently the post is her list of “headcanons” for the various types of witches, but that doesn’t help her case either. Because...yup, still things that are incorrect.

One would think that an influx of correct information would be a help, rather than something to get upset about.

My opinion on this matter? Let her howl. It doesn’t make her right.
