As a pedagogics student aspiring to work in a children's home as well be a foster parent one day, there is something about Cora-san and his bond with Law that is incredibly important to me.
Like, Corazon looked at this kid after he literally stabbed him and almost blew his cover and still decided that yeah, he can be helped. More importantly, that he is worth helping.
Sure, he didn't unfuck Law from the trauma of Flevance and what it shaped him into, but the unconditional support, kindness and understanding he provided made enough of a difference to change the trajectory of Law's life from there and prevent him from growing into someone like Doflamingo, like Law probably would otherwise. That little time Cora-san wholeheartedly gave to Law before he died fundamentally flipped everything around, taking damn deep root in identity of this little critter who not so long before wouldn't hesitate to blow himself and everyone in his proximity up, making him into someone that deep down does everything out of love.
Like holy shit. I can never think enough about this. In real life people cross out so many kids from the start and quit trying to help before the efforts even have a chance to make impact just for going through something beyond their control
