How am I supposed to study in the library when the furnace makes it sound like the souls of the damned are being tortured in the basement?
Arts students in the law library.
This is the reading room in Langdell Law Library at HLS.
I started class last week, and I meant to post right away, but I’ve been too busy and overwhelmed by all the newness. This semester my section is taking Civil Procedure, Property, Contracts, Legislation and Regulation, and Legal Research and Writing. At this point, we’ve had each class at least once, and I’m pleased to announce that I love all of my professors. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to learn from them, and from my brilliant section-mates.
Now that I’ve gotten adjusted, posts will be coming regularly. Let me know if there’s anything in particular you have questions about!
Hey I've been considering going to law school recently and I know you're in law school so I was wondering if you could help me :) I was just wondering how it is and what the regular routine is and how hard it is mostly.
Hey there! :)) So i wont sugarcoat things and tell you that Lawschool is amazingly awesome! Sure it does give the slight shing of fame or confidence but its not all rainbows and butterflies its a complete battlefield and you gotta work hard to stay alive, you gotta give your best to stay in the battle.
These are the things you’ll expect when you decide to enter the world of law school :•You’ll be given hundred of cases in each of every law subject (that you need to read and digest) • Read your law books (which is at least 100 pages/subj)• Memorize law provisions ( this will get handy when you answer recits)• There’s gonna be less social hang-outs or none at all • Coffee is gonna be your soulmate• Sleep? No you dont sleep.
Years. Its gonna take years of effort and sacrifice and its not freaking easy to divest all those time making love to your books while your friends and everyone around you are making the best days of their lives chasing their dreams. Remember that you are chasing yours too. You just gotta keep the passion burning. Never let somebody snatch that dream, work hard for it. You gotta earn it.
