(( While Monet is not a popular character, you can find some entries with her on AO3. According to the fic numbers there, most popular ships are:
Law x Monet
Doflamingo x Monet
Viola x Monet
So I present you with some shippy art! Hope you like 'em.
Are there other Monet ships you like/support? Personally, besides LawxMonet, I think RobinxMonet is an interesting dynamic. ViolaxMonet also grew on me while I was drawing them together. Feel free to share your thoughts! ))
“You never asked me, then,” said Monet, staring down at her talons, “why I wanted this.”
“Should I have?” Law’s tone was mild.
“No,” she said. “But it surprised me, that you didn’t wonder.”

“No,” she said. “But it surprised me, that you didn’t wonder.”
He was slow to reply, quiet when he did. “I understood the impulse, I thought. To be the monster other people insisted you were.”
All the breath punched out of her, hearing it laid out so starkly. “Yes,” she said, and didn’t quite manage to keep the tearful edge from her voice, nor the sting from her eyes. Didn’t look at him—didn’t say anything more, just curled in on her own misery, wrings wrapped tight around herself.
“It didn’t work, though,” Law said, matter-of-factly.
His delivery was so casual—the words spoken with such total, objective assurance—that it startled a laugh from her lungs. “What—” She did look at him, then, and saw that he was watching her, leaned sideways with his chin propped atop his fist, his expression odd.
A smile played about his eyes. He said: “If what you were looking to be was a monster, then I certainly botched the job.”
through the storm we reach the shore — 3100 words, monkey d. luffy/trafalgar law, monet/law. alternate universe - science fiction, aftermath of torture, polyfidelity. (borrows the setting of star wars, mostly for the freezing-in-carbonite gimmick à la return of the jedi.)
“Torao says a lot of stupid things,” Luffy informed him, deadpan, and Law huffed a laugh and kissed him again—longer, this time, like he was trying to say everything he couldn’t manage aloud. Like doing this right was the only thing that mattered, now.
Monet watched the star-lines drift past in the viewport, shimmering as they sped across the black.
