How the fuck is anyone supposed to get mentally better in Twin Peaks when fucking Jacoby is their psychiatrist/psycholog
"Jacoby didn't kill her. He was trying to help her."
It actually really annoys me how much Jacoby is treated like some kind of harsh truth teller and not someone with zero ethical boundaries who we see violating the trust of multiple teenagers.
Like, I am SO tired of people watching him manipulate Bobby (using Laura's confidential sessions, mind you) and their takeaway being that "oooh, Jacoby has his number!" Please. Jacoby has NOTHING but jealousy of a teenage boy who got to fuck the girl he was obsessed with.
Ditto James and Donna listening to a tape of a girl who has clearly learned how to play into just what her sicko doctor wants to hear, and them deciding that oh wow, Laura was kind of a villain. No, Laura was someone who went for help and crashed right into a man who became so fixated on her, he was hoarding her personal keepsakes and listening to tapes of her voice on loop.
I really should have watched everything before reading this, but oh well
Diane, 9:15 A.M. Calhoun Memorial. Doc Hayward says I can expect to live a full, normal life, which should be a new experience, in and of itself. If one could buy stock in the medical supply business in Twin Peaks, Diane, this would be a good time to jump in.
To summarize, briefly: Leo Johnson checked in at approximately 5 A.M., suffering a single gunshot wound to the upper chest. Condition-critical. Jacques Renault apparently checked out a short time later, due to murder. Pete Martell is suffering from second degree burns and smoke inhalation, as is Shelly Johnson. Suffered at the Packard Mill, which had a large fire last night. Catherine Martell is reported missing, possibly a victim of the fire. Also missing is Josie Packard. Is there something more than coincidence at work here? And Big Ed’s wife, Nadine, is in serious condition. An attempted suicide; pills I believe.
Diane, have you ever had ‘one of those days?’
One other thought, Diane, have you ever known any really tall men?
