I went with some friends to the Isle of Man!

It was a great visit, loads of really interesting history and museums and castles!

(Also loads of GORGEOUS scenery but that will be in the next post)

It's interesting how in the UK we talk about the viking age ending in 1066 with Hardrada but here they are talking about "viking kings" dating to the 1200s!

Well worth a visit!

If I had to name one thing I love about having friends over to the island, it's the process of visiting various locations which I had always taken for granted, but this time seeing everything through much more of a tourist's perspective. This, of course, still doesn't beat the sheer happiness I feel whenever I'm reunited with the people who have grown to become such a significant part of my life as of late.
