Don't Chase the Rabbit once each for the Fenova ladies, please
The fleet ship was lively, full of energy. Another victory. It wasn’t long before all the men and women finally needed their rest. Though who wouldn’t miss the opportunity for entertainment? It was a rare thing for such activity to be inside of a fleet ship, but it was enough to boost morale, bring everyone together and let them enjoy their time. That’s where she comes in. The Entertainer. A marvelous woman.
Walking all throughout the large room in her revealing attire, she brought a tray of drinks to some crew mates and joined along with them, having some laughs and all the while flirting with them. “Say, miss. Why ya gotta become like this? Ain’t there rumors of you being a skilled fighter?”
“Oh?” She grinned and leaned over to one of them that questioned her. “Where did you hear that, handsome?”
“One of me men saw you kicking ass in the training course when you got recruited!” He said. “Why this and not join the fight with us?!”
She knew this kind of question would come up at some point. It is true. She joined the fleet, completed her training, and impressed everyone especially with the help of her shadow abilities, it gave her an advantage. There wasn’t many that had abilities like her. Though she knows why she changed her mind and became what she is.
“Let’s just say I made a promise to a friend I once had.” She finally answered. “To be honest, I have always been scared to even want to fight, but I knew that my friend could. She was like my protector. My shield. She’s been in many fights and it always hurt my heart seeing her come back to me with injuries. So yes. I did train. I could’ve been by your side, but I made a promise to a friend I lost. She told me not to end up like her. And I’m gonna make it stay that way. Figuring I have an amazing body, it isn’t so bad being like this.”
She chuckled, patting one of the crewman’s back very harshly, but playfully, enough to knock the breath out of the guy. “Now, since you were so interested in me, how about you and I have some fun!” She said, quickly grabbing the man by his hands and dragging him off.
“Luv? Luv? Are you alright?” A female voice called out. Luvena was in her room, covering her right eye as she is looking around to find something to hide it. Though it wasn’t long until the door was unlocked and she just covered her bleeding eye with her hand. The door opened and mistress Dimava stood there, seeing blood coming from Luvena’s eye she quickly kneeled down to her and looked her over
“Luv, what happened? Let me see! For your mistresses’ sake.” She said. Luvena didn’t want to show, but had to obey. Uncovering her eye, it revealed that her right eye is completely gone, leaving just an empty socket. Mistress Dimava gasped, covering her mouth in horror. “I’m... sorry mistress. You told me not to go out at night, but I... I didn’t think there was ever any danger.” Luvena said, covering her missing eye with her hand. “I tried to fight them, but they were too strong. I’m sorry... mistress. I’m a terrible pet... I shouldn’t be alive to face you again...”
Luvena frowned as mistress Dimava was frozen for a minute until leaning in and embraced Luvena in a hug. Luvena was surprised by the hug, not knowing what to even say or do. she just did nothing and let her mistress do as she pleases. Being let go, her mistress looks over Luvena, taking her hand away from her eye. “I’m glad that you’re okay, Luv. I wouldn’t know what I could do without you.”
Still sitting on the ground, her eye widened from the words coming out of her mistress. “You’re... you’re not mad at me, mistress?”
“What? No! Concerned, yes. You’re everything to me than just my pet, Luv.” She said, a small smile appearing on her face. “I love you too much. I don’t want to lose you. Now come! I need to look over at your eye, clean it up and give you a nice eye patch to go along with it.” Her mistress stood up, offering a hand.
Luvena look at her, a blush appearing on her face as a smile appeared on her as well, nodding to her. “R-Right!”
Anoconda mom slithered her way towards Laxine’s room, hearing her cry. Opening the door, she found Laxine on her bed, her face covered with a pillow. Moving over to her, she poked her head on Laxine’s shoulder. “Laxine, dear? What’s wrong?”
Laxine stopped crying, sobbing as she uncovered her pillow and opened her eyes, revealing developing slits of her pupils. “M-My friends... they called me a... a mutant! They don’t want to be f-friends with me anymore because... they’re afraid... th-that they’ll get culled being with me. Only because of my e-eyes.” She said between sobs. Her lusus looked at her for a moment, slithering onto her bad and gently coiled herself around Laxine’s body, wiping away Laxine’s tears with the end of her tail.
“Little one, you are not a mutant. You are different. Yes. But not even close to being a mutant. And if you think I’ll abandon you because of that difference, then you’re terribly wrong.” Her lusus said, continuing to speak. “Nothing is gonna change my mind. And that should go the same for you. It’s alright being different. Let me tell you this, dear. There’s many trolls like you with different types of eyes. some even have the same kind of eyes like you.”
“R-Really?” Laxine said, sniffling and wiped off her tears with her arm.
“Of course!” Her lusus answered. “Some sea dwellers even have eyes like yours, too. Sea serpent lusii are very common and it’s common enough the trolls they have become guardians for will have some of their traits. I want you to remember this, Laxine. Whatever makes you different, embrace it. Show them that you don’t care and if they do, then it’s their loss. Their loss of ever getting to know who you are rather than judging on one thing. Remember that, sweetie.”
Laxine looked down for a moment, until a small smile appeared on her face and looked over at her lusus. “Th-thank you, mom.”
