A week today - on Sunday the 13th of August - I will be teaching a workshop here in Northumberland on Elen of the Ways. Elen is an ancient, almost forgotten Celtic Goddess of the Crossroads, a horned Goddess and lady of the deer 🦌 Elen guides those lost on the path, helping them to choose new routes forwards, initiating them that they might reclaim their past and recycle their pain - using it to empower themselves to new heights of glory and victory. Elen is Guardian of the sacred, holy, hidden pathways - the lays and sea lanes (the lays that run beneath the oceans energised by the sun and moon whose reflection empowers them). Elen is the Guardian and guide to those who travel the lays in spirit as well as those who pass between the worlds into the wildwood or otherworld. Elen is Greenwoman and Nemetona - Goddess of the sacred land, she is Goddess of nurturing gentle love and the healing of the Soul.
