Top 5 things about Yamamoto!!
- i love how ridiculous he is. there’s no explanation for why he’s like this. he just is. he’s incredibly overpowered (though no hibari levels) and there’s just. no explanation for why he, as a normal middle schooler with zero prior training, has superhuman reflexes and strength and the instincts of a killing machine. like. how much milk did he drink
- i love how he always knows so much more than he lets on but doesn’t feel the need to advertise the fact. he’s very observant but also very lowkey about it. he’s lowkey in social settings in general despite his cheerful and peppy attitude, he’s happy to just hang back and go with the flow unless he needs to step in for a Gokudera Intervention. i love how hyper aware of group dynamics and mafia Responsibilities he actually is because you just kind of assume he doesn’t pay attention to stuff like that but he actually takes his duties as a guardian just as seriously as gokudera
- i love his blood knight side. he’s really, really into swords and losing liters of blood is Totally Cool! as long as no permanent damage is done. because fighting is Fun. facing impossible odds in a life or death situation is a GREAT way to pass the time.
- i love how dichotomous he is??? i always gravitate towards dichotomous characters tbh but yam is like, the quintessential example, probably because i’ve stanned him for so long. i love that he’s nice and kind and naive, but also incredibly pragmatic and dangerous and, well.the whole natural-born hitman thing. he’s also so chill and lowkey but incredibly competitive--the epitome of Sportsmanship but also, can’t stop himself from launching a baseball at the speed of sound into a five year’s face, apparently
- i love how extremely loyal and dedicated he is, but quietly compared to gokudera’s Loud devotion. he really would do anything for tsuna or the rest of his friends (and Insists that he’s tsuna’s right-hand man, Obviously), but he’s relatively subtle about it. this kinda works into the second point, he’s just a lot more lowkey and subdued than you would expect from his general demeanour. he seeks recognition and validation but never asks for it, and he’s happy to let others take the spotlight
