Soft trills of mandibles clicked through the air, as he turned his head upward letting out a deep rumbling sound that reverberated through his chest, as he had looked back over the area.
The thrill and honor of the hunt was honed deep within the fiber of his being, his last hunt before he would be mated and bound to the one who was much fiercer than he, the one who managed to match the ferocity of the warrior and often go beyond it.
He would soon be ridden of this scent of ozone and soft rain, while he silently trudged through the deep foliage of the forest.
The yautja typed the cloaking sequence into his wrist gauntlets and turned invisible to the naked eye.
His footsteps left wide and large tracks in the mud, slowly being distorted and swept from sight by the rain that washed the earth clean. Glancing down to his gauntlets as he had reminded himself of the main reason he was here.
Pursue the Xenomorph in the lands of Men, kill it before it reproduces, if any stands in your way, do as your nature and way of life commands you to be.
Hunter of the strong - yet a killer with honor - fail your chosen hunt and shame falls upon your life as you know it.
He closed his gauntlet, as he tapped the side of his Bio-helmet closing and adjusting his vision to night vision.
He began to scout the area, unaware of how close his foe and soon to be strongest ally were, as he passed by plants that fell crushed under his feet.
Deep imprints of his footsteps were set within the mud, leaving faint imprints to be washed away while far from him a fire crackled within a cabin.
Inside of the darkened and mostly silent confines was the crackle of a fireplace, as a energetic Great Dane nails were patting against the wooden floors trailing quickly toward the back door, standing up as his nails softly padded against the floors.
Huddled over on a bench, while tying your boots and firmly tugging on them. You glanced up at the sound of panting, before reaching over to run your hands softly through your pups fur, feeling his warmth beneath your palms while softly muttering a soft, "Hi pretty boy. Mama's going on a walk, but you'll be here to enjoy your rest. Don't want you getting your fur wet right now."
Letting out a soft grumble, Rambo nuzzled against your hand looking up at you with big eyes, that slowly trailed from you to the window set behind you.
While you were softly cooing at him in a gentle voice, a glimpse of thunder with the rain rumbled outside, outlining the silhouette of Krato standing at a nearby tree.
Simply observing for now.
Just as Rambo let out a soft growl, and you simply thought it was from the thunder outside knowing it startled him at time, you carefully and with some strain picked up the Great Dane.
"Let's get you upstairs in the room."
You walked from near the front door, propping up your umbrella against the wall, then attempted to carry your dog upstairs only getting up halfway as thunder rumbled once more outside.
At the sound, Rambo scrambled down from your arms without struggle and bolted outside through the dog door as you turned to look after him leaving you in the dust.
"RAMBO! How the hell you scared of thunder, but run outside?" You question, as you made your way down the stairs and quickly unlocked your door and grabbing your umbrella, opening the umbrella while searching left and right on the porch for your dog.
Only until hearing the soft ding of the bell on Rambo's collar, did you turn to the sound and saw his tail going off quickly out of your eyesight.
Ensuring you had your phone and keys, you hesitantly yet begrudgingly took off running after your dog.
What could have possibly made him take off running outside, especially after you had just gotten him inside, as you took off down the known trail of the road, keeping an eye on your dog.
Did he see something, or did the thunder simply make him want to go crazy and run out of the house.
Pushing the thoughts aside, as you heard a soft yelp from Rambo, and you worriedly instantly turned to follow after your dog.
"Rambo! Come on baby, bark or something for mama." You spoke as you were become more worried by the second, and then you heard the back from Rambo, slipping straight down the mudslide that caught him in it, as you let out a loud scream.
Landing just onto another trail, as you took a moment to stand up slowly, not caring for the fact your clothing was muddy and possibly washing off with the rain.
Your mind was on your dog and getting back to the cabin.
Going over to the Dane, as you turned his head from side to side, and carefully checked over his legs as you softly muttered a 'Come on, let's get you back home and safe, and don't do that stupid shit again’.
You carefully helped him back up to his feet, seeing him curl up one of his legs with a soft wine.
“Damn it, Bo.” You lowly cursed yet softly rubbed behind his ears with your nails, attempting to calm him.
At seeing him lift one of his legs, you reached and fixed your umbrella before picking up your dog in a somewhat firm hold, being mindful of his leg.
Looking left as all you saw was forest, and right, nothing but forest as well. Making a choice like this wasn't easy, and you'd have to get back to your cabin one way or another, and going up wasn't any option.
At seeing a flash of lightning illuminate what looks like a cliff heading up toward the path your trail back to safety was on, you started walking left with your dog somewhat balanced in your arms as you kept the umbrella over the both of you, being somewhat dry.
Walking as you kept an eye out on your surroundings, feeling nervousness or simply coldness prick at you as you developed gooseflesh along your arms.
Softly letting out a sigh as you continued walking, until you blinked at a red light over your eyes, similar to a laser.
You blinked, thinking it was simply a camera from the forest reflecting off your glasses, until you heard Rambo let out a soft growl in the direction of the laser.
Then noticing instead of one light, it was three and you cursed and immediately turned away feeling nervousness form within your belly, managing to turn back right and run with the heavy load in your hands as a small dart came flying by you.
You continued running, even as the mud nearly made your shoes slip, with you quickly recovering as your scaredness pushed you forward.
Convinced, and that dart only affirmed, something might be after you.
Or simply, whoever was behind that dart might have caused Rambo to run outside into the rain.
Keeping the dog in your arms in near the hold of a baby, you kept going until you reached a two way trail, looking over the sign seeing the left led upward to your cabin area.
Feeling some relief and fear mingling, you turn to head upwards, feeling the adrenaline and anxiety pushing you forward.
Unaware to you, above the path, a xenomorph laid it's mouth open drooling as it's acidic neon green saliva fell down from the confines of it's secondary mouth.
Slowly closing it, as it continued to climb throughout the trees, finding a target that seemed easy enough for it to reach and devour.
The injured four legged companion.
And you continued, not noticing the green drool melting your umbrella until you felt a large amount of water touch your shoulder, looking to notice half of your umbrella gone as you felt some of the leftover saliva hit your shoulder, letting out a sharp hiss of pain at the unfamiliar substance corroding the top layer of skin and dropping your umbrella.
Just as you heard a sharp hiss, that suddenly hearing a sharp wind as you quickly ducked at seeing a tail go straight toward your head.
You quickly ducked at hearing the slice through the air, alongside hearing Rambo bark, with the lightning flashing as you looked up, spotting the Xenemorph.
Just as you were about to run the Xenomorph was about to leap down and attack, until you spotted the three red dots from earlier.
A sound that reminded you of a bullet wizzes through the air striking the alien, causing it to let out a shrill pained shriek directing its attention to the figure steps behind you that was camouflaged, and you took that opportunity to run.
