It’s sometimes so incredibly tough to be in this long distance relationship.

So much of our time is spent talking about negative things, stuff that stresses us out, or missing each other, or even sometimes arguments.

But normal couples still do that....but then they can watch a movie together or eat ice cream or go to dinner.

We don't get that privilege. So what do we do?! How do we help break up the negativity and sadness with fun things? What fun things can we even do together?

(keep in mind, we have a 5 hour time difference)

As some of you might remember, our one year anniversary was last month! And I just wanted to show my gifts to Bram! The first photo is a heart I cut out using road maps of both of our states/cities. The next 4 photos are from a scrapbook I made! I bought scrapbook supplies and a binder, and put together a bunch of our favorite photos and favorite memories together. The last two photos are from a picnic I surprised Bram with! I bought flower petals and balloons, and brought pillows and blankets from home. I decorated the room with candles and banners, and even had hot chocolate waiting for us! It was a perfect night! I hope this can give you a few ideas to surprise your partner with someday! -Aurora

Have a dinner date!

While you might not be able to go out to a restaurant with your partner right now, you can still “share a meal.” Both you and your partner can make the same meal, or get food from the same restaurant and then Skype! Whether you just enjoy each other’s company, or watch a movie together while eating, it’s an easy way to make a normal Skype date a little more special -Bram

Anyone have any ideas for LDR date ideas? It's been rough planning everything for Moving and I want to plan something we can do together while we are far away from each other. Any ideas?!?

Miles of Love Challenge: Day 17

If you've met in person, what's the most fun thing you've done together? If you haven't, what are you looking forward to doing most?

I'm gonna go the cheesy route here and say that everything we do together is fun, just because we get to be together. Grocery shopping, going on dates, cooking together, hanging out with friends, having movie nights, going on walks, snuggling, tumblring together, all of it.

But one thing that does stand out in my mind from the last time I visited Jax in Adelaide is the surprise date he took me on. I was infuriated by the fact that he wouldn't tell me what we were doing or where we were going next, but it was also so much fun. I don't know if it's the most fun we've ever had, but it's definitely up there. ♥

First, we went to the Adelaide Botanic Gardens and strolled around, and I got to see all sorts of giant trees and plants that are native to Australia. Next, we went and got a smoothie (I was going through a smoothie obsession at the time). Afterward, we went to an Indian restaurant and had curry for dinner, and then went home and crashed on the couch.

It makes me smile, just thinking about it. :)
