Hey all, just a lil photo dump and update! Jasper and I have obviously stopped regularly blogging here over the past few years, save for special occasions. But I just wanted to give some insight on how things are going now that we're properly settled into living together, married, and halfway through the partner visa application. :)
Jasper is doing their Honours degree and planning to go straight into their PhD next year. I think explaining it is a bit out of my depth but in essence: their thesis is about trans identity. Their prospective PhD could be really exciting for both of us, because they'll be applying for scholarships all over the country. We could be moving to the east coast in less than a year (although neither of us would mind staying in SA!).
I'm doing a Master of Social work and applying for volunteer positions at the moment. My health/mental health is a lot better than it was two years ago but I'm still taking it one thing at a time. I hope I'm able to find casual work related to my degree once I've adjusted to being back at uni. Obviously it would be a stuff around to move interstate mid-degree, but social work programs aren't hard to come by, thankfully. :)
You may have seen, but we also got married in February. (Not that we weren't like, basically married already, haha.) We're about to move into a house instead of a unit, and it's theoretically pet friendly, so the possibilities are endless (ish)! All around, there has been a lot of positive change lately. I hope all of you are doing well too. And I hope your LDRs are either still kicking, or are now just "Rs." 💕✨
