Le-Wahi
Home to the joyful Le-Matoran and clever Toa Lewa, Le-Wahi is a verdant place where life thrives unrestrained, a chaotic but awe-inspiring collection of flora and fauna. As the largest of all the regions, with trees crowding overhead and the savagery of nature just as present as its beauty, however, it’s all too easy to get lost here...
Pala Jungle
South of the Charred Forest, the land transitions from burnt woods to vibrant jungle, a bright region where sun shines down through the treetops and exotic plants come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. The calls of flying rahi are constant, while other creatures stalk through the underbrush. While the land is dryer here than in the swamps to the east, many pools and streams can be found amidst the pathways, and Matau’s village can be found in the treetops above the largest of these lakes.

Kumu Peninsula
The southern point of the island is more rainforest than jungle, with a near-constant downpour, and trees that can stretch up to several hundred Bios tall. The terrain here is much more extreme, with sudden ravines and steep slopes that make navigation risky, but it creates some truly stunning views, and many a waterfall can be found here. Since the canopy here is much thicker, the rahi and underbrush have developed bioluminescent features. At the very tip, spanning the cliffsides between the Kumu Islets and peninsula proper, giant vines have been used to create natural bridges, upon one of which Vizuna’s village has been built.

Fau Swamp
To the east of the Pala Jungle, and south of Ko-Wahi, is a darker, swampier province where the trees are stunted and gnarled, with branches crowding so tight overhead that they block out the sun entirely. Inhabited by only the most hostile and dangerous of Rahi, and filled with pitfalls, poisonous plants, and quicksand traps, it’s a highly hazardous place where few dare to venture. Still, deep within the oldest parts of the Swamp, Agarak’s village is concealed among the roots of a massive ancient tree, beneath which is said to be buried relics from the time before time.

The Island
The island of Mata-Nui is a beautiful but troubled tropical paradise; as the Toa it is your duty to save it from the evil Makuta. The island itself is divided into six main regions (Wahi) which are each subdivided into three smaller provinces. (Kofo-Wahi) Each province is defined by different geographic terrain, and contains a settled Koro somewhere within, along with other locations of interest.

A Peacetime in Le-Wahi
I have neglected posting on Tumblr for too long, much as I have neglected Bionicle-related stuff in this time of chaos both inside and outside my head. I have little to offer right this second (I’m exhausted), but here, have a very brief moment in a treehouse on a sunny day.
Today that’s my happy place.
