Toa Taipu
Brainstorming designs for non-Toa Matoran. Also want to lean into the "Toa Tools" idea, so gave him a shovel, which I felt was appropriate.
TAKANUVA AND THE CHRONICLER'S COMPANY
With the reformation of Spherus Magna, explorers are needed to map out this foreign and new terrain. Who better to do this than the Chronicler's Company? In the fifty years since the Reformation, the Chronicler's Company has grown from just six Matoran to an entire guild of explorers, drawing recruits from both magnan and oropi societies. While his duties both on the New Atero council and to the Toa are important, Takanuva still makes time to assist his old friends in any way they need.
Where Different Skies and Separate Seas Meet
Toa Chronik vs Toa Kra
Long ago I had an idea for a Toa version of the Chronicler's company and not that long ago I had an idea for an evil Toa team of the Metru Nui matoran. The idea for the Toa Chronik was that each Matoran had a different toa team in mind when they were transformed. For the record, Onepu is the new Chronicler after this. A friend on BZP made a version of them once. Meanwhile in another universe part of Teridax’s plan involved the abduction of the Great Disk Matoran after the return to Metru Nui and their transformation into dark Toa with the use of Shadow Leeches and a stolen Toa Stone. These Toa wear dark armor and resemble a mix of Hordika and Rahkshi. After some shenanigans they end up in the main universe to confront the Toa Chronik. Toa Of Fire- Kapura- Inspired by the stories of the Toa Hagah. Wielding twin Pyro Daggers Kapura uses his Kualsi to move around the battlefield with ease.
Toa of Inferno- Nuhrii- With his shadow flames Nuhrii burns all he sees. A task made easier with his Kalis Mask of Laser Vision. He uses his Blaze Burner to launch flames as far as he wishes and uses the bayonet on the end for close quarter combat.
Toa of Water- Macku- Inspired by the stories the Toa Mahrii told. Macku wears a Kakama with a special breathing adapter to zoom around beneath the waves as she uses her Tidal Trident to defend against evil.
Toa of Floods- Vhisola- Mistress of the shadow waves Vhisola loves to use her Lebab Mask of Incomprehension to confuse groups of enemies and pick them off with her Coral Crossbow.
Toa of Stone- Hafu- Inspired by the stories of the Toa Inika. A crafter at heart he carries the Carver's Hammer. He uses his new Kiril to repair damage to his carvings.
Toa of Mountains- Ahkmou- Ahkmou commands the shadow stones in battle. He uses his Fazet Mask of Density to phase through enemy blows and increase the density of his Meteor Mace moments before impact.
Toa of Earth- Taipu- Inspired by the stories of the Toa Metru. Keeping his Ruru he uses his Terra Drill Lance to dig through the earth.
Toa of Quakes- Tehutti- With his Xirak Mask of Fragmentation Tehutti shatters the very ground below his enemies with his Seismic Spear and buries them in shadow earth.
Toa of Air- Tamaru- Inspired by the stories of the Toa Mangai. With his skill of air and his Volitak Tamaru can be as silent as a gentle breeze. His main tools are a pair of Kanoka Air Shredders, kanoka launchers with blades attached, but he uses multiple other tools such as an arm mounted Rhotuka Launcher and a Volo Lutu Launcher for quick travel. Basically the Bionicle version of the Predator.
Toa of Storms- Orkahm- Slow and methodical Orkham calls on the shadow air to fight. With his Lomos Mask of Slowness he brings even the fastest enemy to a crawl leaving them wide open for his twin Cyclone Cannons. In a pinch he can attach the cannons to his back as jet boosters.
Toa of Ice- Kopeke- Inspired by the stories of the Toa Mata and Nuva. With his Rode he finds and defends the truth while swinging his Arctic Axe at those who would threaten the peace.
Toa of Blizzards- Ehyre- Ehyre’s shadow ice chills to the core. His favorite tactic is to freeze foes with his Ice Sickles before shattering them with his Descari Mask of Power Scream.
Toa of Light- Tanma- Leader of the Toa Chronik. Inspired by legends of the Toa Cordak. With his Mahiki Tanma can create solid illusions of light to confuse his enemies leaving them open to a blast of light from his Sol Shield.
Toa of Shadows- Vultraz- As sadistic and cruel as always Vultraz leads the Toa Kra. Wearing the Kraahkan Mask of Shadows his control of the darkness rivals that of a Makuta. His Darkness Daggers can cut through even light itself.
Do you guys think Hafu and Taipu ever just swap masks and pretend to be each other? Like they get fed up with being confused for one another and just roll with it to troll everyone?
Or maybe everyone else is ‘confusing’ them on purpose and it’s all a bit to keep riling them up. It has been 1000 years after all, you’d think they would have learned to tell them apart by now?
Bonus: everyone figures out pretty quickly when Hafu and Taipu have swapped themselves because Po-Wahi is bright and Taipu can’t stop squinting.
