I’m sorry this took so long, oh man. I’m sure nobody cares at this point, but i wanted to finish it anyways XD
1. What’s their full name? Why was that chosen? Doesit mean anything?
Lea Esther Travers. Lea was chosen for…well, noparticular reason, except that her parents liked it. Esther is her Hebrew nameand was chosen to honor her great grandmother.
2. Do they have any titles? How did they get them?
None in her canon universe. Aside from “librarian”,which she got from going to library school and doing library things.
3. Did they have a good childhood? What are fondmemories they have of it? What’s a bad memory?
She had a good childhood overall, despite her parentsbeing more distant than she might like. One of her fondest memories is fromwhen she was around ten years old, sitting in her grandparents’ house in frontof the fire, with her Bubbe reading to her and Zayde teaching her how towhittle. A bad memory is the day that her Zayde died, when she was in juniorhigh. She still misses him.
4. What is their relationship with their parents?What’s a good and bad memory with them? Did they know both parents?
Lea loves her parents very much, though she was muchcloser with her grandparents than her parents. She does remember them lookingvery proud at her college graduation, and that is one of her best memories.Also her father taking her to the library as a little kid. A less good memoryis when they missed her high school graduation to attend an event for her olderbrother. She understood why, but it still kinda stung. Honestly, Lea’s memorieswith her parents aren’t as strong as those with her grandparents…she loves thembut they aren’t all that close now that she’s out of the house.
5. Do they have any siblings? What’s their names? Whatis their relationship with them? Has their relationship changed since they werekids to adults?
Lea has two siblings, Michael and Eli. Michael is tenyears older than her, and Eli is four years younger. She loves both of them,but is much closer to Eli. She used to resent Michael more, since their parentswere always more interested in his accomplishments, and he is very smart andsuccessful. But as an adult, she was able to get over the resentment. Theyaren’t all that close, but they get along pretty well.
6. What were they like at school? Did they enjoy it?Did they finish? What level of higher education did they reach? What subjectsdid they enjoy? Which did they hate?
Lea is a huge nerd and really enjoyed school. Sheparticularly likes anything that involves reading and writing, which is part ofthe reason she went into libraries. She’s not a big fan of math and she wasnever much good at languages. This particularly frustrates her, since she’dlove to learn another language. (she eventually does pick some up, but it takesher longer than she’d like)
7. Did they have lots of friends as a child? Did theykeep any of their childhood friends into adulthood?
Lea was always friendly but didn’t have too many closefriends. She did reconnect with her best childhood friend, Alix, as an adult,and they are good friends to this day.
8. Did they have pets as a child? Do they have pets asan adult? Do they like animals?
DOGS. Lea had dogs as a kid and she loves them. Shedoesn’t currently have a pet, though she’d like to. She likes animals ingeneral…except for birds. They freak her out.
9. Do animals like them? Do they get on well withanimals?
She gets on very well with animals! Except,again…birds.
10. Do they like children? Do children like them? Dothey have or want any children? What would they be like as a parent? Or as agodparent/babysitter/ect?
She loves kids, and gets on very well with them mostof the time. She always wanted children, though for a long time she thought shewouldn’t be able to have them, for a number of reasons. Nowadays, she’s theproud mom (stepmom?) to three of them. She’s a softie and has trouble with thediscipline side of things, but she’s kind and caring and tries to beunderstanding as a parent.
11. Do they have any special diet requirements? Arethey a vegetarian? Vegan? Have any allergies?
No food allergies. Lea learned all her cooking fromher jewish grandmother, so she is neither vegetarian nor vegan. She tries to bekosher for Passover, but that’s about it.
12. What is their favourite food?
Challah french toast. AMAZING.

Meeting the Alnairs made her more purposeful, and certainly less lonely. Vela and her kids, Ari and Aura, helped Lea to be a more confident person, and she just enjoyed being around them besides. They brought joy into her life, more than she would have dreamed. Lea’s just a happier person all around.Why You Love Them: I won’t go into too much detail because Lea is very important to me and I’ll go on forever about her. I love writing her. She’s a gentle soul and I like seeing through her eyes. I like seeing how she reacts in different situations, but her good humor in each of them makes me love her. I dunno if this makes sense…but either way I love Lea :)

46) what are their coffee orders?
Vela prefers tea to coffee (secretly with lots of honey/sugar)
Lea is a craven caffeine addict, coffee especially. She orders sweet monstrosities during the holidays with seasonal syrup (pumpkin, peppermint, etc). But her usual coffee order is a regular latte with two extra shots of expresso.
47) what apps do they have?
Besides the standard apps that come with the phone, Vela would probably just have sky maps and other astronomical apps. And lots of them. She’s not really into social media.
Lea has the usual apps (youtube, facebook, etc). She also has a few cooking/recipe apps, a writing app, and the kindle app because she owns kindle books but doesn’t actually own a kindle. She has several map/gps apps due to her embarrassing sense of direction. These unfortunately don’t help much.
48) what are their favorite TV shows?
Vela probably doesn’t watch a ton of TV on her own. She watches movies with her kids and most likely the news/weather, but I’m guessing that’s about it.
Lea is another story. And her favorite shows are basically nerdy things. She loves Orphan Black, Buffy, Legend of the Seeker, etc (she used to like Lost Girl and Once Upon A Time before they became not so great). She likes sitcoms like Parks and Rec, and documentary series because again…nerd.
They do end up watching a lot of TV/movies/Netflix together, a lot of them recommended by Lea since neither Vela nor her ex-husband were much into that kind of thing. They definitely watch Cosmos together because they both love that kind of stuff. Lea cuddles up and Vela goes into highly detailed explanations about the astronomy on the show.

32) what do they smell when they smell amorentia?
Lea smells freshly baked bread, old books, light perfume and chalk, and tea with honey
Vela smells ink, crisp night air, flowers (technically flowery shampoo but whatever), and chocolate chip cookies
33) what lockscreens do they have?
Lea’s changes over time. It was usually something nerdy before she started dating Vela.
After they started dating she did have a picture of them up for a while, one where Vela was smiling and had an arm around her. Currently her lockscreen is a picture that Vela’s daughter, Aura, drew for her of Lea as a princess and Vela as a sorceress/hero. She has no immediate plans to change it.
Vela’s lockscreen is probably a picture of her kids, Ari and Aura…well, maybe. It might just be the default lockscreen, I’m not totally sure Vela knows how to change it.
34) how many emojis do they use and which ones?
Lea uses a lot of emojis because she likes to joke via text and because she likes smiley faces. She mostly uses the uber-cheerful ones and also a lot of animals because she loves animals, especially dogs. 😊😀😁😍😙🐶
Vela probably doesn’t use too many. She most likely reserves her emojis for when they are truly needed (rare text jokes, perhaps?). 🌛
35) who throws ill-advised parties?
Neither of them are big partiers. Lea invites her friends over and makes enormous quantities of food for them sometimes, but these could only loosely be called ‘parties’ since she only has about 4-ish people who she counts as close friends.
The closest she comes to ill-advised parties is when she very occasionally (like after something really not-good happens) goes out and gets drunk with her friends and then calls Vela and leaves long, sweet, rambling messages on her phone.
36) who sets the other’s ringtone to something loud and obnoxious behind their back?
I can’t really see either of them hacking the other one’s phone. That being said, Lea would totally change Vela’s ringtone to a different cartoon theme song at least once a week. The current selection is Underdog.
37) lick-claiming. who does it? is the other deterred?
Lea might do this as a joke, but probably only once at most. She’s goofy but not really the lick-claiming type XD
And I don’t think Vela would be deterred at all. I mean, they’re dating. She’s had Lea’s tongue in her mouth before, so licking a slice of pizza or whatever probably wouldn’t put her off :)

7:Favorite way to waste time and feelings surrounding wasting time
Probably playing games or watching a bunch of cheesy TV/movies/youtube. Anything where she can just curl up and turn off her brain for a bit.
She thinks that it can be good for relaxation, as long as it doesn’t interfere with work or having friends and stuff. That being said, she has definitely wasted plenty of time on games and binge-watching nerdy youtube videos :) It doesn’t count as relaxation when you play portal until your eyeballs are bleeding, Lea.
8:Favorite indulgence and feelings surrounding indulging
Hmm…probably something food-y. Sweet. Jelly donuts, maybe? Like the big ones you only get on Hanukkah.
Lea thinks that indulgence is an important part of life. Obviously it’s also important not to go too crazy, but she’d say that people need to feed their souls as well as their bodies. That’s what jelly donuts are for, after all.
12:Favorite book genre?
Fairy tales, fantasy, romance. She likes happy endings. But she’s a pretty open-minded reader.
19:What do they think about before falling asleep at night?
Dragons, probably? Dragons.
I mean, it really depends on where she’s at during the day. She might think about work, or Vela (she thinks about Vela a lot in general), or the song that’s stuck in her head. But dragons are usually a fair bet.
25:How do they see themselves 5 years from today?
Hmm…she’d probably want to be working at a museum, or at least in a better position at her library. She’d like to be married…at least to still be in a serious relationship with the woman she loves. Hopefully living with her little family.
33:Concept of home and family?
Lea was always closest to her little brother and her maternal grandparents. So visits to her bubbe and zayde’s house were always like going home for her. Going to see her bubbe is still like that.
And now she has Vela, and Vela is home. Vela and the kids are family…not officially, I suppose, but to her they are.
46:If they were to fall in love, who (or what) is their ideal?
Lea’s ideal for a lover would be a woman who is strong, confident, and smart, with a good sense of humor. As time went on, she added ‘honest and straightforward’ to the ideal, because…well, previous experiences.Appearance-wise she has a slight preference for women who are tall and dark-haired.
47:How do they express love?
Lea is a cheesy nerd who expresses her love whenever she gets a chance. She’ll say it often when the thought pops into her head.
She isn’t always the best at articulating herself verbally, but she likes to leave little notes for Vela. Fun facts, articles that vela might find interesting, bits of poetry, little drawings, etc.
Honestly Lea tries to express her love however she can, but the easiest way to tell is probably the cooking. She always cooked with her bubbe and she likes to cook for the important people in her life. Especially for the one she loves.

Okay, okay, um…Lys likes to draw, so she’ll spend hours just sketching junk. In a modern au I could see her spending a lot of time on youtube as well.
Lys doesn’t have a ton of strict structure in her life, so her attitude towards wasting time is kinda…nonexistent? She doesn’t really care what people do with their time, and expects the same in return.
8:Favorite indulgence and feelings surrounding indulging
In a modern au, probably shitty fast food in enormous quantities. She also likes those doc martens with like the fancy prints on them, so she might get those as a special indulgence if she had enough money.
As with wasting time, she doesn’t really consider her indulgences to be anyone’s business but her own. However, she’s a bit more conservative about these because her instinct is to be fairly frugal. She’s also more frugal with indulging emotions than, say, Lea.
12:Favorite book genre?
Mystery novels. Not totally sure why.
19:What do they think about before falling asleep at night?
Not too much, honestly. Lys doesn’t sleep that much but she’s basically useless when she gets tired, so all her thoughts would be about how she wishes she was asleep. Possibly that she wishes she was cuddling with Calla. Then prepare for a lot of drooling and sprawling all over the place.
25:How do they see themselves 5 years from today?
Depends where she’s at. For a long time, Lys didn’t think much about the future beyond doing the same things she was already doing.When she and Calla got closer, she started thinking about it more. She hopes they’re still together, if nothing else.

Lys has had bad luck with family in the past. She doesn’t think much of blood family because of this. She has a sort of adoptive father named Islay, an older healer and the only person she was close to for a long time.
And then there’s Calla and Kardis. Home is wherever they are. She’s never had a place she feels at home, besides with them.
46:If they were to fall in love, who (or what) is their ideal?
Hoo boy. Well…to be honest, for a long time, Lys really didn’t want to fall in love ever again. So she would probably say, at least for a while, that she didn’t have an ideal. (obviously that worked well)
If she had to articulate it, though…she wants someone who’s kind and easy to talk to and fun to be around. Basically she just wants someone who’s nice to her and cares about her. Beyond that…well, Lys likes to talk, and she’d like someone who she can do that with. And who’ll be patient enough to deal with her humor and general silliness.
Physically, she likes women with nice muscles. And nice butts.
47:How do they express love?
Lys is…not good at serious words. So she would pretty much exclusively show her love through actions (though affectionate nicknames would certainly slip into her speech). It would mostly be little things, like remembering the person’s favorite foods or bringing them something that made her think of them. She’d immediately brush it off if they called her out on being sweet or thoughtful, though.
This is to say nothing of the adoring stares and the hand-holding, of which there are plenty. Honestly she wants the person she loves to know that she loves them, but she’s poor at articulating it out loud, so she tries her best to say it in other ways.

41:Hobbies?
Lea loves to read…which is probably good for a librarian :) She also enjoys writing, cooking, gaming, hiking, and occasionally whittling.
44:Superstitions or views on the occult?
Lea doesn’t have any strong feelings on the occult, I don’t think. She’s a bit superstitious despite herself, though. You might see her tugging on her ear after she sneezes, and she hates to travel without the pin her bubbe gave her.
45:Do they express their thoughts through words or deeds?
Lea’s not always the most articulate person. She likes to talk about things, to joke around and banter and discuss topics of interest, and she’s a very good storyteller. But she often stumbles over her words when talking about her own thoughts or feelings. So she’ll probably express her innermost thoughts through deeds rather than words.
