Rick is somebody Beth looks up to, and I think that in some kind of way she idolises him. The relationship between Rick and Hershel definitely caused Beth to look at Rick as more of a parental figure, especially after Hershel's death. Also the whole dynamic of Beth taking care of Judith whilst in the prison says a lot about how much she sees Rick as family, she'd do anything for him. He's also probably in that very small circle of people she trusts, and would tell anything to. 

I love their relationship, it's very special.

send me ‘grim reaper’ for my muse’s response to yours dying in their arms.

"Come on Rick w-we have to go." She knew it was useless, she could feel him grifting away from life. She could see the Leader’s life draining and there wasn’t anything she could do. Nothing but just hold him until it was over. His blood stained her clothes and arms. It all happened so quickly. No one saw it coming. Neither of them could’ve stopped it. 

"Come on Rick." She whispered, tears welling her eyes. "The group needs needs you. Carl and Judith need you. I need you. You can’t die." 

His eyes became unfocused and the life went out of them. She heard his last breath be drawn in and she knew this was it. He was just gone. It wasn’t fair. After all he’d been through. To go out like this. And away from the ones that loved him. It just wasn’t. 

With a loud exhale Tara took out her knife. She hesitated, just staying there with her knife. ' Come on Tara. He wouldn't want to turn'. After what it seemed like and eternity, she plundged her knife into his skull. She threw it far away from her, the weapon feeling like an horrible intruder.

"Godd bye Rick Grimes…. You are in a better place now…"
