Hi! Ok, i”m going to get really philosophical with you here because apparently, I’m incapable of doing anything but going hard. xD
My best tip for baby witches is don’t be afraid to experiment. Do your research and be responsible but don’t worry about doing things the right way. There is no one right way to do anything and if it feels right to you then it is right for your practice. A simple way to put this into practice is to just modify a spell that already exists and put your own intent or spin on it.
Another good thing to do is build on the gifts and skills you already have before you throw yourself into the deep end of trying something totally new. I had a really strong intuition before I got into witchcraft but I started out as a kitchen witch when I had no skills at cooking. When I made the switch to divination doing magic became something I looked forward to instead of a chore. Once you’ve built your confidence that you can do magic and the things you do can succeed and make real changes then go ahead and try something that will be a challenge.
And last but not least, don’t limit yourself to just one thing or one label. Explore and learn about everything you can and decide what works for you don’t be afraid of thing new things just because it doesn’t fit into the label you currently use to describe yourself. Life is change don’t be afraid to allow it to happen.

The narrative is sexist/racist because the writer made all the women either go crazy/become vengeful, and I blame the writer for that, but in the text Dani is also straight up an imperialist. If you looked through my blog at all you’d know that I agree with you about the fact that the narrative is racist and sexist because the writer is. The fact is that GRRM is an old white man who benefits directly from sexism and racism, and people shouldn’t blame the characters for that racist and sexist narrative, but him.
Also, anon and I were strictly speaking about book!daenerys, when does she ever ‘nuke’ a city in the books. She conquers cities, sure. She conquers them with the main and singular goal of freeing slaves though, not to just rule over and be their Queen and have all the glory that comes along with it. She does her best to bring justice to those who’ve wronged innocent people. She’s just a person trying her best to protect people from slavers, rapists, and murderers.
Here is passage from a great answered ask from @queenaryastarks old blog on why thinking that Daenerys is a traditional imperialist is problematic.

To think that a person risking their livelihood to save thousands and thousands of literal slaves and taking action against slavers is a bad thing is.... not a good mindset. To have this mindset that not all slavers are bad is a problematic mindset because even if some of the slavers didn’t agree with slavery, they still directly benefit from the sufferings of others. Saying ‘not all slavers are bad’ is similar to saying ‘not all cops are bad’ which is... yikes.
You saying that she’s an anti hero is interesting because the definition of an anti hero is this.

On what planet are you reading a song of ice and fire in which Daenerys Targaryen lacks idealism, courage and morality?
Finally...... most if not all Daenerys stans know she’s not perfect. It’s... now these might be shocking to you... part of the reason we love her dearly. It makes her more human, it makes her more real. She’s just a child trying to make the world a better place and she makes mistakes like every other character in the series. To say that we think Daenerys is a perfect angel is ejwlrwkwje incredibly hysterical considering Daenerys stans know that she’s not perfect and makes mistakes and we love her more for those mistakes as it shows she’s a human being.
She’s a hero bottom line and I can’t understand why people like you attempt to villify her for conquering cities with the sole purpose of abolishing literal slavery.

Honestly you're a lot nicer than I am for blacking out that blog's name. It isn't a personal blog, it's a "source blog" run by cowards who are too chickenshit to share their membership publicly because deep down even they know what they're doing is wrong. The things they post are deeply sexist, justify violence against women, and are often racist. Even their blog title: "hero of the other side." That phrase is meant to invoke how villains are hero's to the other side, meaning "bad guys," bad people. So they're basically saying she is a villain but seems like a hero to the bad guys who follow her. Let's think about that. Who is Dany mostly a hero too? Freed slaves, dothraki, Unsullied, the Martells, and the Greyjoys. All but one of those groups are brown people. The blog is implying that only bad guys, and the only brown people in the show, follow Dany. That's just the tip of the sexist hypocritical iceberg. You're kind and compassionate so I know you blocked out their name s0 they don't get hate. That's admirable. But they deserve hate. They deserve to get hate until whoever runs it starts crying and deletes their extremely disgusting blog. Daenerys isn’t a hero of the other side. Daenerys is a hero of slaves, children, abuse survivors, rape survivors, savages, the common people, the outcasts and the underdogs. She is the hero of these underdogs who are looked down upon, abused, beaten, molested, mutilated, chained and killed. So, Daenerys being the hero to those groups, means she’s a villain to the upper class, white, conforming, sexist, xenophobic, homophobic people. The real hero’s of the story. The ones who sneer at the common people, the ones who laugh at the idea of democracy, the ones who turn their nose up at the mere thought of letting the people chose their own leaders, the ones who would rather die than accept the help of the forgien brown people, the ones who smirk as they hear that a woman of color - an ex slave - was captured and being held hostage, the ones who have never fought for the people or the underdogs, the ones who have never risked or sacrificed anything for anyone else, the ones who would rather back stab and betray if it meant geting their crown. Yes, those are the real heros of the story, and Daenerys is the villain.
