Okay. Long story and I don’t know where else to put it. I can’t put it on facebook in case the wrong person sees it but I just need to rant. I think it’ll make me feel better but anyone else can ignore this if you want. Just keep scrolling cause we’re about to get deep into a situation that no amount of cute animals can fix.

I purchased a screen printing and embroidery shop in my hometown a year a seven months ago. I’ve been slowly bringing this business back to life with quality work and attention to detail and not being afraid to admit I was wrong when a mistake happens (and they do happen. I’m only human). I work alone and have no employees. I can’t afford them yet.

Anyway, my rent is $1470.00 a month before utilities like heat, power, internet, phone, etc. After that I pay about $2000.00 a month to keep everything running. To some this may seem like nothing but I’m in a small town with most of the population scattered within 20 miles in the woods. Many buildings rent for $1000 or less since we rely on tourist dollars most of the time.

Now, I knew when I bought the place I was probably going to move locations. The location I’m in is in a very old building that is a bitch to heat and is not up to code due to the landlord doing remodeling that they did not get permitted. The place I wanted to move to needed to be overhauled to be able to handle my very large machinery so it was a long term plan not a immediate plan.

Now almost exactly a year ago, my landlord sold the building to some people who do not live in my town. They live in a large metropolitan area about an hour and a half away. After they purchased the place they entered my building without my permission and scared the shit out of me on more than one occasion since they tended to come visit after hours when I’m working late. I requested that they give me 24 hour notice just so I know it’s them and not someone else breaking into my business.

Well one day they brought their friends by, I was working late, and they seemed surprised to see me. They did not give me notice like I had asked them too and then their friends started touching my VERY expensive machines and I asked them politely to stop and they just rolled their eyes and kept moving.

I asked the landlord when I could see a lease from her and she said she would get one together in a couple of weeks.

THIS WAS A YEAR AGO.

She never gave me a lease. She never gave me any paperwork or anything with her signature. When I contacted them they ignored my calls and emails. When I said there was a leak in the roof and mold growing they stopped by (again without notifying me) and said that they don’t see a problem. I’ve had to fix my heater myself, my hot water doesn’t work and my water is brown. All issues I had contacted them about that went unanswered.

So I decided to speed up my move. However, I had not told them yet because I had no eta and I had to find someone who can crane out a 2000 pound steel embroidery machine.

I also did not have a lease agreement with them tell me how much time I had to give them. So it was my plan to give them 30 days notice when it was time.

I continued to pay rent on time every month.

So, after a year, they decided to finally give me a lease agreement. However they did not mail it to me or visit me. They sent me an email (while I was at con but they didn’t know that).

We have owned the building for a year and honestly it's not making money.  I knew going in since PREVIOUS OWNER hasn't raised rent that we were going to get the blood on our hands.  We find ourselves losing money and realizing the upswing in downtown area in activity and need for quality spaces to rent. Let me know what you would like to do. If you would like to stay i can get you a new lease.  If you aren't able to stay let me know and I will get you a formal letter of at least 20 days notice.  That would at least give you to the end of March to make new arrangements.

They decided to up my rent 100%.

It went from $1470.00 to $2900.00 and they wanted a 3 year lease.

I also don’t know what town they’re talking about...our town hasn’t seen an upswing in the downtown area in years. Our town is dying and if it wasn’t for the logging and schools, it would have died years ago.

That email was sent Friday night while I was at Con and I couldn’t do anything about it until I came back Sunday. Then I had to contact the other owners since I’m not the sole owner. I’m merely the sole operator. My entire family is in on this and as an LLC we had to have a meeting and discuss what we were going to do.

Like I said, we were planning on moving but we weren’t ready. So on Monday I worked at contacting the members of the LLC, which I didn’t get a hold of until today. I hadn’t told my landlords anything but today, only 5 days later, I got the notice to evict.

I have 20 days to get out. They also said they have an items list of things I can’t take (which they did not give me). When I bought the business I couldn’t take anything that was build into the building, that was the contract with the previous owner.

So now, I am pissed. Sure, I was going to move. I had planned on moving, but it’s fucking war now.

I’m going to try to get out within the allotted time, but truthfully, it’s not happening. I need a crane operator but there’s still snow and I’m trying to complete orders and keep everything functioning as we go.

I’ll go as fast as I can and regardless I’ll be out faster than it’ll take them to court but between you and me, it’s a pissing contest now.

And I’m going to win.

No one fucks with me.

I was going to be polite and pay rent up until I left and even the month after since they didn’t have a damage deposit from me. I was going to be completely fair. But no more.

I’ve already changed the locks temporarily. I’ve had people in my store without my knowledge and it’s people who have a key, maybe my new landlords, maybe my old landlords, maybe the previous business owner, I don’t know. But It stops now. I will put the locks back after I’m gone but I won’t let anyone push me around.

They think I’m some meek little girl who they’ll be able to push around but that ain’t happening.

I’m Leaping Goddamn Lisa and no one fucks me.

In regards to someone wanting you to take their shift, just say you had a previous engagement. If they ask, tell them you have shopping to get done or don't tell them anything. You're busy, even if it means you're just sleeping.

that’s what i did last time. i just told the girl that i didn’t want to. she said okay. ahahaha. while on one hand i’ll be leaving this job super soon, so i should want the money, but i’m just so tired of working here, and i know that if i go in i’m going to be doing everything while everyone else stands there twiddling their thumbs. plus i always work weekends, so if i took tomorrow’s shift, i wouldn’t have another day off until at least a week and i don’t have the mental fortitude to do that.

I've been rewatching Inuyasha. This AU thought popped into my head as I was going to sleep tonight...

Ok, but imagine that Kagome and Inuyasha have a baby. And that baby has priestess powers like Kagome but super heightened. And when demons touch her it hurts them! But, since inuyasha is a half demon he can't hold his baby, because it would hurt him. He can only hold her once a month in the dark after she has gone to sleep because on the night of the new moon he turns into his human form. But they won't tell her because they don't want their kid to worry and be scared about her powers. So imagine this poor little 3 old asking mommy kagome why daddy won't ever tuck her into bed? And why wont daddy kiss her goodnight? And why whenever she has a nightmare and tries to crawl into their bed does daddy leave? And why wont daddy play with her like Miroku plays his children? Why doesn't daddy love her? So fast forward and Kagome and Innuyasha have a 2nd baby! But this one doesn't have powers, so Innuyasha can hold this one. But now older sister is upset because why does daddy love the younger sibling more? And why will daddy rock the younger sibling to sleep but not her? Now imagine years later, daughter is older and understands her powers and has reconciled with innuyasha and she's a demon hunter now. But this big Naraku sized demon comes trollin through and she has to stop him, but in doing so she uses all her powers and is dying. So the only time Inuyasha is ever able to hold his daughter while in his demon form, is when he is cradling her dying form in his arms after the battle. And she nudges her head into his chest and says with her dying breath "so this is what your hugs feel like. It's so warm. I like it." These are my depressing 2am thoughts. I'm going to go cry myself to sleep now.

As Thorin lay dying, he makes his amends. Apologies flow from his lips and he prays that Bilbo would stop fretting a moment and listen to him, let the apology sink in, so that Thorin would know that Bilbo had heard him.

Had forgiven him.

As his last sentence leaves his lips, he is stuck a few moments more in a motionless heap as his last sparks of life fade from him.

No blade could deliver the same sort of pain as did Bilbo’s sobs when the burglar thought Thorin could no longer hear.

Also, during that same series of games, after guessing quite a few correctly in a row I got some sort of high like I was god and anything I said would be the correct answer and Leapinglisa came into draw and stared at the board like she was thinking about what to draw so I shouted "Obliviate" and that was the correct answer. I think that's about when Natalie took me into the hall
