Yesterday, I put this old journal page on the cover of one of my artjournals. It's a reminder to myself for the days when fear has me by the throat and doesn't let me go. It’s for the days when I lock myself in bed, afraid for the world after reading the news incessantly. On those days, I need a reminder that joy is a choice. And when I choose to play in my artjournal, grab a pen, grab my stash of papers, that is when my joy sings. That is when I come to life. I wasn't born to live in deep fear every single day.
