When I speak in the past, I am too concerned about the reaction of my audience. I would tend to deliver a talk that is more performance based. Now, I don’t really care much about the reaction of my audience. As long as I prepare well, give it my all, and speak from the heart, I know that audience engagement will follow. The less you think about how you will do and your audience’s reaction, and the more you focus on adding value, the more positive feedback and reactions you get. Ironic.
