I just figured I’d let you guys know, I’ve started learning to read Japanese, and I’m learning the katakana alphabet. I’m learning to read roughly 1 column every 2-3 days. It’s a cool language to learn and I’m ashamed that I never really got round to starting earlier.
i think i’ll start posting about my progress with learning Japanese so: i’ve officially finished learning hiragana! i can read, write, and pronounce them all now - tho my r’s still need work. and i’m now learning the first few kanji radicals then will move on to katakana. it’s been really fun!! i know how to write my name in all three systems also, love that for me.
I have to do at least 3 hours of school work a day. Mostly just math. -_-' I don't do it all in one sitting. When I'm not doing school work, I have house work to do. I try to spend time with my son during the day as well. I prefer to work in a school setting than at home. At school all I have to do is school work, but as home I have other things I could be doing. So it's hard to stay focused. I hope I can find a balance and schedule everything eventually. Maybe when my son starts school? ^-^' 1 lesson / chapter from each book and / or website shouldn't take up too much time...right? I've tried to stop studying Japanese and it was kind of hard. To just quit something you're passionate about. Something you've been doing for 2 years. I really need to focus on school work. I am SO ready to get this over with! If you'd like to chat send me a message! ^-^
