we started Fate/Zero with friends a while ago, and we finished watching tonight. this is my first real exposure to fate and i'm seriously wondering if my friends hate me and if they think hurting me is funny i really loved Waver and Iskandar (if you know me, i think that's a pretty obvious outcome). their dynamic was so fun and adorable to watch and it really contrasted with everything else going on LMAO. especially from Kariya spawning > instantly getting bullied from the start to his death, the whole Kiritsugu/Iri/Saber things... i've just came down from my crash out over Iskandar dying. i'm usually good at containing my tears even when a media hurts me but oh god, the whole marriage proposal scene right before he charges at Gilgamesh got me. i was eating while watching and my pizza was just filled with my tears man they're not the ones that suffered the most obviously but for me, it's hard to feel as much for a character such as Kariya who, as i said, just spawned to get bullied. i love him too and i really wish things would've gone differently because he didn't deserve that. but seeing his situation getting worse and worse just made me numb, like dude atp death is the sweetest release you can hope for, i'm sorry everyone hates you bdvkjbjg the scene where Waver uses all his commands was very sweet to me as well... i'm quite literally watching a newly married couple here!!! there's no better analogy!!

today marks my first attempt at doing actual japanese reading practice. i decided i'd learn by reading the entirety of bsd's main manga, along with the other ones and novels later (i got into bsd by watching the anime with a friend, please don't beat me up) i actually started reading it translated a month ago, before i got the sudden motivation to lock in and actually learn japanese for real this time. so i have context for like 15 chapters or so i managed to read 8 pages of the first volume, with the help of yomitan for all the vocabulary i'm missing. the first page took me 15 minutes LMAO it was the omakes where they're talking about christianity and Dazai role playing, saying his bandages are a gift from god

overall it wasn't that bad i think, i understood the overall meanings i believe. i still have troubles assimilating the grammar very well, especially with some helper verbs and particules. but i also refrain myself from trying to translate what i'm reading because i feel like it just makes things harder and it kinda defeats the point too? idk atleast i feel like i assimilated some words i've looked up with yomitan...like... 自殺．．．入水．．．ありがとう太宰さん．．． also this is maybe just me going crazy, but while reading i felt like Dazai and Kunikida have a different "type of speech" i'm not sure how to explain this but the way Dazai's speech is structured feels more "easy going" (lots of よs ねs in there, i suppose) while Kunikida's feels more "harse" (?) "tense" (?) ??? this is probably only because he's yelling all the time in the first pages though. but that was the overall vibes i was getting while reading the kanas as if it were real dialogues

finally reached chapter 11 of TOX2 and i just think it's so so so so so fucking funny for both of her boyfriends to be the catalysts into sacrificing fractured Milla to bring prime Milla back. Especially for Alvin and my miraaru delusions. oh sweet Alvin, do you remember when Milla had to sacrifice herself to save you, right before your eyes? right after she said you had a place besides her, despite everything you've done? despite the horrible human being you are? i swear they love making that man suffer for fun. i hated this chapter, it hurt me so bad :((( kinda in the same state as Elle right now...Rideaux when i fuckign get you

sometimes i feel like my view on certain ship dynamics is very specific and it makes me a bit lonely ex: how i view ranpo/fukuzawa would be more towards the ranfuku dynamic except i prefer ranpo getting dicked down by his daddy third leg

so i suppose it would be fukuran? but then it's not really in "line" with how others usually depict fukuran... somehow i forgot how nametagging works i suppose
