◤ Magic has become an easy way for Sebastian to add some sort of oddness to his day-to-day life. That’s probably not what he’s supposed to use it for. Maybe this great power comes with great responsibility, and he’s supposed to become some sort of vigilante hero for the islands, taking crime down one scumbag at a time. ◢
◤ Thank Yoba there’s no supervillain that needs taking down, because he doubts he’ll ever get into vigilante heroism. The point is: he doesn’t do much of any real weight when it comes to his magic. It’s all some bullshit to make things go smoother. ◢
◤ Because of this, he’s a little awed on his impromptu Sebastian-Needs-To-Do-Some-Thinky-Things trip through Arcadia’s shoreline. See, there’s a kid out here with (what Sebastian thinks is) a giant chipmunk, which is hopping from one point in the air to the next, like there’s some sort of invisible board there. ◢
◤ That’s gotta be void magic, right? But that’s a child. Now Seb feels inferior-- he was trying to catch frogs when he was a kid, not playing with magic. He wonders if he could have discovered that part of him earlier, if he had thought to. ◢
◤ He won’t ask why the kid’s out alone since he’s had enough experience vaguely disappearing from supervision to know that it just happens, sometimes. Instead, from a bit of a distance away, he asks, “Hey, where’d you learn how to do that?” ◢
