As the cold grey light of dawn crept into the stricken household it found the family sitting in the living room, alternating between staring at the door and watching the slow seconds tick by on the clock. No one was really speaking, each person lost in their own maelstrom of fear and guilt and confusion. It didn’t matter that Logan had technically only been gone a few hours, most of which they wouldn’t have seen him anyway, his absence was a gaping hole of raw screaming pain, and everyone could feel it.
