Who's your favourite Robin?
I'll go first........ Jarro. Bruce would agree. Hell, even your faves would agree. I wouldn't mind if Tim and Damian retire. Make Jarro Robin. Cowards.
Thank you for coming for my ted talk.

I know you are more of a Marvel person, but do you know whether Madame Xanadu was ever confirmed to be Romani? I keep finding her on a bunch of Romani comic character lists, but I can’t find anything on whether she’s actually Romani or was just styled after stereotypes.
Can anyone explain why the DC wiki such a trainwreck? It's really not a useable resource, and it's literally never helpful when I get DC questions.
I honestly just haven't read anything that Madame Xanadu is in. it's entirely possible that she has been stated, or at least implied, to be actually Romani at some point, but without an an accessible resource that can tell me when that happened or even just give me a decent framework for her publication history, I really don't know where to start looking. I'd like to give a more informed answer, but I'm afraid it will take a lot of work.
My understanding is that, in most continuities, Madame Xanadu is a centuries-old immortal whose true identity is Nimue, the Lady of the Lake from Welsh mythology and Arthurian legend. The character of Nimue is often depcited as a sort of fairy or goddess, and in DC comics, she is one of the ancient predecessors of the homo magi, which are distinct, separate race of humanity.
In my mind, that character cannot feasibly be Romani and would never be able to provide any kind of meaningful representation. She's been alive in Europe for longer than the Romani diaspora has existed. DC has a pattern of retroactively tacking Romani ethnic identity onto characters in way that actually makes them worse, not better (Ice, and in most cases, Nightwing) or to justify the fact that they're obviously based on racist stereotypes (Cynthia Reynolds). I think with Xanadu they should just drop the gypsy fortuneteller schtick and revamp her design to be either a more general fantasy aesthetic, or something that pays homage to her Celtic origins.

Murphy has not been around for hardly any of Clarke and Lexa's interaction with each other, having been off with Jaha and his stupid plotline then with his grounder girlfriend and then being tortured. Yet he still understands how important Lexa was to Clarke.
