well, idk man. rick makes a lot of mistakes based on his emotional state. i think in the beginning, he had better control but since he’s dealt with so much trauma, having a better control over his emotion is way tougher than it used to be but he’s always had a slight weakness to acting out when angry and all that

i think it depends on the level trauma, because after negan killed glenn he definitely picked up some heavy ptsd, which is why he’s emotionally closed off about so many things.  people would see that as rick being standoffish / rude, but i do think he’s pretty good at keeping things in, despite a few outbursts here and there.  i don’t disagree, i just think his training has stuck with him, he has kept a level heard through most of what he’s faced.

Maybe he was stupid. No...He WAS stupid. Negan had hundreds of people on his side, ready to drop the kid with a moment's notice. But this was Lex...This was his sister. He couldn't believe for a second that she could possibly be siding with Negan. Gun pointed at him he let out a breath. "There's no way...Not after all the pain you brought our family."
