to everyone taking their leaving certs this spring

from an american who just graduated from university:

good luck on your leaving certs! you’re going to rock it. don’t stress yourself out to the point of anxiety attacks and sleepless nights. study as much as you can, but remember to take breaks, feed yourself, get sleep.

if your leaving certs are anything like the exams we have to take to get into university, in the end, they will not define you. you’ll get in to uni somewhere, find things and people you love, and your passions will find you, or you’ll find them. 

i promise, exams are not the be all, end all of your life. nevertheless, good luck to you all- you’re going to be GREAT.
