« There are so many songs that I could name.... but the one that always gets me is "Alcoholiday" by Teenage Fanclub. I bought Bandwagonesque when I was 13 years... That opening guitar rhythm gave me goosebumps. The mood of the song is sombre but the tune is so anthemic. Definitely pop perfection. I doubt there's another band around that has written as many consistently great pop tunes as Teenage Fanclub. »

« There's so many songs to choose from - Len "Steel My Sunshine", Third Eye Blind "Semi Charmed Kind of Life", and New Radicals "You Get What You Give" all come to mind (or at least came on the radio every 15 seconds when was a teenager. But I think a song that's been near to my heart for a long time, and we recently covered is a song by James "Laid". If that one is a bit too "obvious" for the kind of music you play, I'd also suggest Orange Juice "Rip it Up and Start Again", which is clever, catchy and charming in abundance [...].
