Important Question

Vanitas/Noé/Roland

a/n: I've recently gotten into the Vanitas no Carte series and I had to write this small one shot idea that was in my mind. I hope you enjoy!

“Vanitas?”

“Shh!”

“But Vanitas-”

“I said shush! We need to be silent.”

“I get that, but why are we hiding in the closet to begin with?”

Vanitas groaned at Noé’s persistence as they crouched unbearably close together in the cramped space.

“Because that imbecile Chasseur has been chasing me all afternoon and this seemed like the best place to escape his advances.”

“I see.”

There was a blissful silence between them which unfortunately for Vanitas, did not last long.

“Why is he chasing you?”

“Noé!”

“I’m just curious! And besides, you dragged me in here as well so- mmph!”

Vanitas was quick to cover Noé’s mouth as soon as muffled footsteps outside of the closet were heard. He held his gloved index finger to his own lips, an extra precaution for Noé to remain silent, even with his mouth covered.

“Oh, Vanitaaaas?”

The unmistakeable voice of Roland sang not far from the closet door where they hid. Noé could almost feel Vanitas cringing at the sing song way his named was called.

“You’re not hiding from me, are you? Oh, come now, it was just a simple question! There’s no need to hide,” Roland’s voice sounded sickly sweet, the same way that always gets Vanitas’ skin crawling. “Come out, come out, wherever you are~”

As soon as it sounded like his footsteps were getting further away, Noé decided to take a chance to speak up.

“I don’t understand. What was the question and why are you hiding away from it?”

“It’s none of your business,” Vanitas hissed.

“Well actually, I think it is my business. As I said, you dragged me here with you, so now I’m involved. I have a right to know what’s going on.”

“Keep your voice down, will you?! He might still come-”

The closet doors flung opened with a sudden violent motion, light flooding the small space and nearly blinding Vanitas and Noé as they blinked up at Roland's imposing figure looming over them with a triumphant smile.

“-back.”

“Ah, there you are!” Roland cheered, his bright smile almost as blinding as the light that lit the closet space. “What on earth could you be doing in here, hm?”

“We were just discussing our next curse bearer case, weren’t we, Noé?” Vanitas addressed; his nervous demeanour not very concealed at all. His expression begged Noé to play along.

“Oh… yes.”

“In the closet, of all places? My, you both are full of surprises. Though Vanitas, I still haven’t received your answer to my question!” Roland pressed, causing Vanitas to visibly flinch.

“Roland,” Noé managed to talk first, gaining the attention to both males. “What was the question you asked Vanitas?”

“Nothing!”

“Why, I asked him if he was ticklish.”

There was a moment of awkward silence at the reveal before Noé cast an unamused expression towards Vanitas, who only scowled back.

“That’s the reason we’re hiding away in this dark, cramped closet? Because he asked you such a simple question as that?” Noé raised his voice.

“Don’t act like you wouldn’t do the exact same thing!” Vanitas yelled back, using his foot to push Noé out of his hiding spot, despite it already being compromised. “You know how overly touchy he gets, there’s no way I would have come away from a question like that unscathed!”

“You could have just said no!” the white-haired vamp argued.

“No one ever just accepts no!”

“So, Vanitas,” Roland’s decided to interrupt the duo’s bickering. “Am I correct in assuming that means the answer is yes?”

Vanitas cringed at the mischievous look in Roland’s eyes, knowing that this meant trouble for him, especially since he was backed into a corner.

“Is it a yes?” Noé also asked, much to Vanitas’s pain. It would appear that he was also curious to know the real answer to the question at hand.

“I refuse to answer your ridiculous questioning,” the raven folded his arms across his chest. “We’re all adults here, so let’s try and act like it, shall we?”

“Oh, Vanitas,” Roland chuckled, already way too close to his side, uncomfortably so that it even startles him. “There’s nothing wrong with a little fun, now is there?”

Before Vanitas could protest, or even create space between them, Roland’s fingers were pressing into his sides, forcing a startled yelp from the doctor.

“ARE YOU INSANE?” Vanitas shrieked, trying to pull away only to be pulled back into Roland’s annoyingly strong embrace. “Let go of me!”

“Not yet, I want to hear you laugh!” Roland showed no mercy as he let his hands tickle up and down Vanitas’s sides, forcing cackles out of the younger male.

Noé couldn’t help but become entranced at the sight.

“Noé! Don’t – just stand there!” Vanitas then howled with laughter when Roland moved up to his ribs. “HELP ME!”

“Wow, you really are ticklish here, aren’t you?” Roland teased, that beaming smile still in place. Vanitas kicked and bucked in Roland’s hold, but the tickling had rendered him weak.

Noé whined, conflicted on what he must do, but was overcome by the desire to try out this new discovery for himself. He wanted to be the one to make Vanitas laugh in such a way. Without a moment’s hesitation he dove into the mix, placing his hands at Vanitas’s sides.

“Noé?!” Vanitas squealed, hearing the vampire chuckle softly over his laughter as he took advantage of the situation. “Ahaha! – stop! I’ll kill both of you!”

The small, flustered blush upon his face, the laughter and the tears of mirth appearing in his eyes, they were simply beautiful to Noé. This was a side of Vanitas that he didn’t know he needed to see.

Vanitas on the other hand, felt like he was in Hell, being tormented by the tickling fingers that dug into his tickle spots. If he was honest with himself, he wasn’t even aware just how ticklish he was, but now thanks to these two idiots, something told him he would not forget any time soon.

God I'm sorry for requesting again😭😭 I genuinely didn't knew if do it again but I wanted to ask if you could do lee Vanitas and Ler Noé with neck as the tickle spot. I just miss Vanitas no Carte sm (again congrats for the milestone!💙)

Vanitas planted his palm against Noe’s forehead, desperately trying to push him away. He shouldn’t have said that, he definitely crossed the line this time. Still, he didn’t expect Noe to react that way. In the span of seconds, Vanitas could see Noe opening his mouth and coming for his neck, like a predator going for the kill. Was this going to be how it all ended..? Wait. This wasn’t a bite. Then why-

“N-NOHOHOE!” Vanitas cackled, his back hitting the wall behind them as Noe blew a raspberry against his neck, his lips vibrating around the small patch of exposed skin, but proving to be more than enough to take care of him as a whole. “I-it tihihickles, you d-damned- ahAHAH, s-stohohop!”

Vanitas was starting to think that getting bitten was a better end. Noe didn’t answer his pleas - it was not like he could anyway - and it only made the whole situation worse. Overpowered by the vampire’s raw strength, all Vanitas could do was wish for Noe to run out of breath quickly and, by doing so, give him a break so he could properly apologize for eating Noe’s faire un gâteau.

(Hes nibling on him but wont bite couse he’s respectfull baby and we love that about him 😌)

Vanitas, a wonderful person truly, but extremely annoying at times. Noe absolutely adored him but there were times that all Noe wanted to do was to throw him out of a window. Yet again here he was listening to Vanitas rant about some stupid thing that he was not paying attention to. "Noe, Noe! Are you listening?" Vanitas asked with an exasperated groan. "H-huh? What'd you say?" "I said that I'm so pissed that I want to kill him, like why would he call me that! I mean I do call him my sidekick and bald but-" Oh, that's what this is about. Vanitas and Dante had an argument where Dante said that he quit working with Vanitas. "You know if you just apologise to him this would be solved-" Cutting Noe of with a glare he responded, "ME? Apologise? No way!" "If you did apologise he may reconsider his decision." With a smirk, he leaned forward with his hands on his hips, "What if I don't want to, what are you going to do about it- whOA!" While he was speaking, Noe tackled him to the floor and pinned him down. "Noe what are you- AH!" Noe had began drumming his fingers on his sides with a sly smirk, grinning even more when Vanitas squeezed his eyes shut while biting his lips trying to ignore the tingly feeling spreading all over his sides. "You just need to apologise to him, it's that simple." "Noho I'm not going to apologise toho that baldy WahaHAHAIT!" Vanitas squealed as Noe began scribbling his fingers over his ribs. His face began to turn pink from either laughing so much or embarrassment. "Do you wish to apologise now?" "NOhOahAha Nehehever!" With a sigh, Noe wrestled Vanitas' arms above his head and began lowering his head towards his stomach. "W-wait Noe no! I'll apologise! I promise! Just not that!" With a smile, Noe continued lowering his head to Vanitas' stomach while grinning even more when Vanitas burst into anticipatory giggles. Taking a deep breath in, Noe blew a raspberry directly on Vanitas' stomach and followed it with nibbles all over his tummy. Vanitas screeched before descending into loud cackling while kicking out his legs. "OHOHOHOKAHAHAY IHIHI GIHIHIVE! MEHEHERCY!" With that final plea, Noe sat up satisfied that his method worked. "You're a jeherk, you know that?" Vanitas asked with a grin still plastered onto his face. "Yup! Now go apologise or this will get worst!" Expressing that he was serious, he poked Vanitas in the stomach. "Ohokay okay! I'll go!" "Good."

Cold hands

Noé/Vanitas

a/n: I had this little idea and thought it was a cute scenario. Still learning their characters, but was fun to write! I hope you enjoy!

Noé shivered under his blankets, the icy cold seeping through despite his best efforts to stay warm. Opening his eyes, Noé glanced over at the other bed, where Vanitas lay curled up in a tight ball beneath his blankets, his slim frame trembling from the frigid air. A pang of concern washed over Noé - if he was this cold, Vanitas must be positively freezing.

Sitting up, Noé called out softly, “Vanitas? It’s pretty cold tonight, how are you holding up?”

“J-J-Just f-f-f-ine,” Vanitas responded through chattering teeth. Noé couldn’t help but feel sympathy for his human friend, when suddenly an idea hit him.

“Why don’t we share a bed tonight?”

“Exc-c-use me!?” Vanitas almost yelled. “S-Share a b-b-ed with you? Ab-bsolutely not! I’m p-p-perfectly fine!” he insisted.

Noé got out of his bed, clutching his pillow tightly to his chest for warmth and padded over to the lump of blankets that was Vanitas.

“Come on, what’s the problem?” Noé persisted. “We’re both cold, and it’s a simple way to warm up.”

Vanitas remained silent, but Noé took his lack of further protest as permission and lifted the covers to slide into bed beside the raven-haired male. The cold chill was enough for Vanitas to shiver violently but Noé quickly covered them both up before too much warmth escaped into the coldness.

“See, isn’t this much better?” Noé scooted closer so they could take advantage of body heat. Vanitas let out an annoyed huff in response, but Noé knew he was secretly grateful for the extra warmth. “I read somewhere that skin to skin contact is better-”

“Noé!” Vanitas finally snapped. “You’re lucky I’m letting you in my bed at all, don’t get carried away!”  

Noé couldn’t help but laugh in amusement at Vanitas’s reaction to his suggestion. Although it was a fact, he really only said it to mess with him.

Vanitas grumbled irritably at the cold, turning so that his back faced the vampire. Noé watched him quietly, and in an attempt to provide some extra warmth and comfort, he reached out a hand to gently rub Vanitas's back.

Vanitas let out an ear-piercing screech the second his icy fingers made contact and jolted as if he’d been shocked. “Don’t touch me with those damn icicles, you idiot!”

“I was just trying to help,” Noé pouted.

“Well, don’t!”

So mean.

A mischievous grin then spread across Noé's face. If Vanitas was going to be grumpy, then he might as well have some fun with it. Noé pressed his chilled fingers into his sides and wiggled them around, running up and down that area.

Vanitas shrieked the second Noé started tickling him, forcing cackles out of the human. “AHAHA! - Nohohoé!”

“I’m trying to help you, Vanitas,” Noé laughed along with him. “And this will surely help warm you up.”

“STOP!” Vanitas gasped for air, still laughing and squirming around, using his foot to try and push the white-haired vampire away from him, but it was a fruitless effort.

Noé just laughed, thoroughly amused by Vanitas's reactions, and decided to push his luck even further and slipped his hands under Vanitas’s night shirt to touch his bare skin.

The howl that left Vanitas surely would have awoken the entire hotel, but Noé couldn’t care less and to stop him from escaping, he pushed himself against the smaller male and trapped him in his arms while continuing his tickle assault.

“I never knew you were so ticklish, Vanitas,” Noé commented and judging by the growl sound mixed in with the laughter, that got him a bit flustered. He smiled and reached his fingers to Vanitas’s stomach where he screamed.

“NOT THERE! – ahaha! Stahahap before I kill you!”

Noé finally stopped and as expected, was rewarded with a smack to the head by the angered human.

“You asshole!”

“Ow!” Noé rubbed the spot that was smacked. “I tickle you and you hit me?”

“And it’s completely deserved!” Vanitas snapped, glaring daggers in his direction. Noé couldn’t help but giggle and Vanitas visibly blushed in the moonlit room.

“I think you enjoyed it.”

“Don’t be absurd!”

“Are you warmed up now?”

“I – what?” Vanitas blinked at the sudden change in question. “I guess…”

“Then it worked!” Noé beamed. “You’re welcome! Now, good night, Vanitas.”

Vanitas watched as Noé’s head hit the pillow and was asleep in almost an instant. The blush was still present on his face, and he huffed with an eyeroll.

“Good night, Noé.”
