First, sorry for the amount of time I took to reply to this. This week was tough.

Second, I'm flattered, but you are being silly! We take classes to improve, not to get worse!

Technically speaking, I did take writing classes, but not for fanfics.

Best I can tell you is to read, read and read. Other's works, canon stories, classic novels. All of those help. The more you read, the more you absorb and improve your own work.
