TIME (ONEUS FANTASY AU)

Amber's POV

I closed the door and looked down to my watch to see that it is already 8:30 AM. The coffee shop I am working at is a 25-minute walking distance from my apartment. I quickly rushed down the stairs and exited the place. My shift starts at 9 AM and ends at 5:30 PM. The shop isn't that big nor too small and the salary is just enough to pay the bills and to keep some on the bank.

I glanced at my watch and it reads 8:50, looks like I'm a bit early today. The only thing left to do is to cross the street. I am waiting for the walk signal to flash the go signal when I felt someone bumped into me and pushed me to the pedestrian crossing. I looked to my back to see that the person is hurrying, maybe late for work but as soon as I looked to my side I met a blinding light before it faded into darkness.

I opened my eyes and a white room welcomed my sight. Where am I? I sat up and saw my brother sitting on the couch with his head held down. Did I fell asleep? What happened? I can't really remember what happened a while ago. My eyes searched for a clock and it says 4:50 PM. Was I asleep for too long? Beside my bed is an ECG monitor meaning I'm on a hospital.

"You're awake! Thank goodness, I was really worried!" My brother walked up to me.

"Why am I here? What happened?" I asked.

"You were involved in a car accident this morning. I was really worried when the doctor called me and told me what had happened. How are you feeling now?"

"I think I'm okay, except my whole body hurts."

"Do you want to eat anything?"

"I'm not hungry."

"Here, have water instead." My brother handled me the water before continuing, "I'll go talk to the doctor so you can now go home, just wait here."

"Sure."

— (timeskip) —

"Amber! Amber!" "Amber!"

I hear a faint voice calling for me. But I can't tell if it belongs to a girl or a boy. Curiously, I followed the voice only to see nothing but darkness, not until I heard the voice again.

"AMBER!"

My eyes shot open and I sat up from my bed. What was that? Such a weird dream. My eyes caught a golden hourglass on the table which seems to emit light. I rubbed my eyes to see if it is just an imagination but it isn't. I stood up and went over to it.

I examined the hourglass carefully looking at its intricate and beatiful design. The sand inside are of into mixed different colors: silver, pink and sky blue. It was extremely beautiful and breathtaking to look at.

"Did my brother put this here? Was it a gift from him? Hmm.."

I looked up to my clock and it struck 11:11 PM. Time to go to bed again. I took a step towards my bed but I felt a strong wind blowing against my back. I turn around and saw the hourglass emitting blue light and floating from the table, it is flipping fast for several times that I can't count how many flips it did anymore. Streaks of light are coming from the floor and when I looked down, I saw a hole gradually getting bigger and bigger.

"What the hell?! What is happening?!"

The hole became very big and the hourglass is flipping crazily while the wind below is blowing harshly. I was about scream help until I fell to the white hole.

"AAAAAAAAAAH!"
